St Albans Stables - Studio Apartment
The old stables of the Courthouse has been recently converted into a comfortable, yet basic, rustic, and budget studio apartment. There are large windows, which give the studio a light filled glow, the room is sparsely furnished with a comfortable queen bed (foam mattress available for the floor if requested), 2x2 seater couches, and a basic kitchen ( induction cooker, electric frypan, BBQ, fridge). The bathroom is located outside of the studio, through the old stable doors. The property on which the stable is situated is a 30 acre property over looking the town of St Albans, and the Macdonald River/valley. Often the Courthouse is booked for weekends so there may be other people staying on the property as well, however the houses are located far enough away from each other to be private. There is no wifi or mobile reception in St Albans. Come and switch off for a while. Please understand that the stables is simple, rustic, basic quirky accommodation, please dont expect 5 star accommodation. There is a small fire pit located outside the Stables. Please BYO fire wood (can be bought cheaply from most service stations), and beach towels. We are happy for you to explore any of the property. There is another house, the St Albans Courthouse, that is also a holiday rental on the property, so other guests may be about. Some amazing local bush walks nearby, just ask. Dinner or lunch at the Settlers Arms ia always a must. A great piece of Australian heritage. We are generally onsite, there are another couple of houses on the property. We will do our best to stay out of your way, but if you need us - we can generally be there. St. Albans is a very sleepy town, with only a Pub (the historic Settlers Arms Inn). There are no shops in town (please bring what you need). The town is very historic, there are horses, goats, alpacas, occasionally a camel all in residence in town There is no public transport to St Albans. However there is plenty of parking available on site. There are no shops in St Albans, other than the pub, the Settlers Arms Inn. Please bring your staples. Kate and Rob are able to help with a food delivery if enough notice is provided. Also, please note the Pub only does dinners Thursday to Sunday evening. Please please please don't book this if you are not prepared for a basic stable accommodation. it isn't perfect, it is old, it is not 5 star. I hate receiving complaints about there not being hand towels, or smaller than expected. It is basic..... Please BYO wood for the fire pit.
