Guest Suite in Old Chatham Hunt Country

Looking for all the perks of a hotel while staying at a house in the country? This tranquil, light filled room overlooks horse pastures and a dirt road in the heart of Old Chatham hunt country. A private entrance leads to a guest suite which includes a queen size bed, sitting area, kitchenette, and walk-in closet. Located on the first floor of a newly built, net-zero home. Power comes from solar and solar water panels provide for guilt-free hot showers! 50 MBPS fiber optic Internet! A perfect place for someone looking for their own space (the suite is locked off from the rest of the house) that is clean, new, and a pet free environment. Local gourmet tea (Harney and Sons) and coffee (Irving Farms), coffee maker, soda and seltzer as well as toiletries are provided. Unfortunately there are no cooking facilities but there are many local restaurants within a scenic, 15 minute drive. Guests have access to the suite and patio and there is parking just 35 feet from the suite entrance. The suite is located on the first floor of my house so you may hear me on occasion. I also have a super friendly Jack Russell terrier and you may hear her pitter-patter. The suite is however blocked off from the rest of the house. This suite is prepared for a simple self-check in process. I provide instructions for self-check in prior to arrival which includes your own code to the door lock key pad. I am always available by phone. For those looking to ride horses, I can recommend several nearby stables that provide lessons or trail rides. Only 2 ½ hours from NYC, 30 minutes from Albany, 35 minutes from Hudson, 35 minutes to Jiminy Peak Ski Resort, 45 minutes to Tanglewood, and 4 miles to the Old Chatham Country Store. Many guests stay with me because they are seeking an allergy-free environment so I have a strict no pets or smoking policy. Unfortunately you do need a car to access the property: Uber and/or Lyft can be unreliable. I do have a friendly Jack Russell terrier and horse that live on the property.
