Indian Summer Retreat is a beautifully restored 100 year old Queenslander on 2.5 acres of rural land. The BnB is a private apartment downstairs within the main home and is beautifully decorated by Indian Summer Home. Enjoy the magical surrounds of the valley & Cedar Creek, nestled by Mt Tamborine, in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland. Ideally situated half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the retreat is the perfect place to escape the rat race to relax & explore this unique region. The spacious home is situated on 2.5 acres of land and is fully restored with modern facilities. Accommodation is a fully equipped and private apartment including bedroom, ensuite with living area, study nook and kitchenette downstairs within the main homestead.The apartment is decorated in a coastal/boho relaxed feel with the highest quality accessories making for a beautiful escape. Indian Summer Retreat is situated in a magical secret valley surrounded by Australian Bush and farmland, nestled by Mount Tamborine National Park in the Scenic Rim area of Queensland. The farms surrounding us have cows, horses, ducks, peacocks, lamas and geese and you will often hear the sounds of the animals and birds throughout the day and night. Mobs of kangaroos and wallabies come to eat from our green grass at dusk, often the mother housing the little joey in her pouch. The bush and valley hues change throughout the day and is magical to watch. We have lovely neighbours who watch out for us and care for each other. The nearest town for supplies is 25 km away, so stock up before you come. LIGHT CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST INCLUDED Your stay does include a light self serve continental breakfast of toast, jams, cereals, juice, yoghurt, tea and coffee. CHEESE PLATTERS on arrival. Let us know if you would like a cheese platter for two on arrival. $40 for locally produced products pay cash on arrival. The gorgeous hamlet of Mount Tamborine is 20 km away up the mountain via car. This precinct has many attractions including boutique shopping, markets, antique/vintage stores, The Mountain Walk, rainforest hiking tracks, wineries, cafes', Thunderbird Park (an outdoor adventure park), majestic scenic views. Cedar Creek Falls is 18 km away via car. Perfect for a picnic or swim in the water hole! The famous beaches of the Gold Coast are approx 50 km away and the capital of Queensland, Brisbane, a vibrant cosmopolitan city of 2 million people 50 km away via car up the M1 Motorway. The world standard theme parks, Dreamworld, Movie World and Wet and Wild are just on the other side of the mountain, 40 km away via car. Ideal location for a private getaway for rest and recouping. PHOTO SHOOTS Indian Summer Retreat is available for Photo Shoots. Please let us know if you require the property for photo shoots on booking, as there is an additional charge of $60- $80 per hour on top of the Air BnB rate. (this depends if you require the full use of the property or just the external use and the Air BnB). To secure a full day for the photo shoot and for early starts, you will need to book 2 days through Air BnB to secure the property for the day. We will work out together how many hours needed through the day for the photo shoot and then a quote will be provided, to be paid via Bank deposit BEFORE the shoot. All photo shoots must be fully disclosed at the point of enquiry. Indian Summer Retreat is not accesable by public transport. Hire car or your own car is the only means of transport to our retreat. There is a train to Beenleigh from Brisbane (20 km away) if needed. NO parties NO pets ALL damages to the house, are the guests responsibility PLEASE leave house as you found it WIFI is available, however we respectfully request that you DO NOT stream/download any movies /videos/ listen to music. This is due to a cap on our internet, as only Satellite internet is available to this area and Nathan and I require the internet as we both work from home full time. We have a wide variety of DVD's for your enjoyment, or you can hotspot from your phone to watch movies/videos/music.
