Penarbronydd Cottage - Tregarth, Gwynedd nr Bangor
Penarbronydd is a renovated cottage, in secluded gardens, with views to the mountains and Menai Straits. An ideal base to explore Snowdonia, or for a walking, climbing or cycling break in the mountains. A perfect stopover en route to/from Ireland (approx 30 mins from Holyhead). Located near Bangor and the University. Well placed for such attractions as Zip World and Surf Snowdonia, then there's the castles and the beaches .... After your day, relax by the log fire in your own sitting room. The guest area is for your sole use and is situated to one end of the house. You have private use of a bathroom and your own sitting room with a log-burning stove. Breakfast is served in this room. (Help yourself to tea and coffee here too.) With a spacious, comfortable bedroom upstairs in the eaves, you'll wake up to great views and the sound of birdsong, with sheep and horses in the surrounding fields. The bedroom is a very good size, and is easily made to accommodate a group, or family, of up to four, with a double and two single futon style beds. Access to the guest area leads directly from the main porch, where you can hang or store outdoor clothing and boots. Secure storage for cycles, or other outdoor gear is also available. You are welcome to explore the garden or find a corner to sit with a coffee! If you are familiar with North Wales then you'll have a fair idea of what's available, if not we are more than happy to advise on what there is to do and see! Penarbronydd Cottage lies on the edge of Tregarth in a quiet village setting. We are very accessible, less than a mile from the A55 (Junction 11) giving easy access to local attractions and services in Bethesda, Bangor, and beyond. We are 5 minutes walk from a good bus service that connects Tregarth with Bangor and Bethesda. Close by is Lon Las Ogwen, the cycle track along the old railway line, which connects Bangor to Bethesda.
