Close to the Airport and the beach. Plenty of shops, stores, pubs & restaurants. OUR 4 APARTMENTS This block of 4 spacious highly-finished apartments are owned and run by the same family. These apartments are ideal for individual groups or families who would want to spend their holidays together. If you are still making up your mind whether to choose a place in Northern Malta or Southern Malta like Birżebbuġa, keep in mind that Malta's Southern area is markedly less expensive than northern Malta, in terms of grocery, pubs, restaurants and life in general. If guests arrive while the apartment is still being cleaned we may allow our guests to leave their luggages in the box room. As regards to checkout, we would also find no objection for our visitors to stay in the apartment after regular check-out time should their flight be scheduled after 11am or in the evening, but only if reservations have not been made for the day. What is most important for us is that our guests keep our apartment as clean as possible and make economic use of all the resources available. Visitors are kindly asked to consult with us prior to making up any decisions. Our family lives just a few metres away from the apartment. A member of our family will greet you upon your arrival. Our close proximity to the apartment will be an opportunity for us to assist you and oversee to your daily difficulties. For your own security we have CCTV cameras installed outside the main door. Available. Our family lives very close to the apartment. We can assist you all the time. (1) Birżebbuġa is a quiet but busy Port town in Southern Malta. Here one could have a restful and peaceful stay and yet experience the dynamic life of local people walking through the streets buying their daily necessities while others may leisurely go jogging or strolling along the beautiful seaside. (2) Our area is very well known for Pretty Bay, the largest sandy beach in Malta which attracts many people during summer. Here many would spend their time swimming and bathing during the day and their nights promenading the coast. (2) In Birzebbuġa, visitors and guests can easily find their daily necessities. In our area one can find plenty of restaurants, shops, pubs, stores, groceries, 4 pharmacies, take-away, stationeries, and night-pubs. (5) On the first Sunday of August and the week preceding it, the town of Birzebbuga celebrates the Feast of "Saint Peter Apostle in Chains" with much street decorations, band marches, brio and fireworks. (6) The town of Birżebbuġa is also home for several historical places such as: (a) Għar Dalam, a historic cave which contains the bone remains of animals that were stranded and subsequently became extinct in Malta at the end of the Last Glacial Maximum. (b) Borġ in-Nadur, is a bronze-age village and temple located in the open fields overlooking St George's Bay. (c) Numerous churches and chapels ranging from the 16th century up to 20th century dedicated to different saints. (7) In the distant far, as one would walk around the sea promenade, one could admire Fort Saint Lucian, a stronghold built by Grandmaster Wignacourt between 1610 and 1611. (8) Birżebbuġa is also not very far away from the town of Tarxien and Paola (Raħal Ġdid) where one could find the historic and Prehistoric sites of Tarxien Temples and the underground 'Hypogeum' respectively, both very popular with tourists. Poala is also very popular for shopping. (1) Public Transport to and from Birżebbuġa is very easy. A bus Terminus is available just a few corners away, exactly in front of the beach. Transport goes directly to Malta International Airport and the Capital Valletta amongst other routes. Very efficient. (2) If you want to hire a car or a van from Birżebbuġa, there are some good local companies that offer this service. In Malta we use the left-hand lane system like the UK. There is also a petrol station near the beach. Distances in Malta are not very long. (3) As regards to interesting walking routes, you may walk along the seaside; you may go for walks in the different beautiful valleys we have in Birżebbuġa (Wied Saptan, Wied Dalam etc); or even a walk near Bengħisa cliffs where you can admire the islet of 'Filfla' and Għar Ħasan cave.
