Foyers Lodge, Loch Ness, Room 1

Originally built in the 1800s and recently restored by owners Anna and Phil, Foyers Lodge is a small boutique hotel on the picturesque shores of Loch Ness in Scotland. The lodge boasts stylish interiors, beautifully kept grounds and unrivalled views of Loch Ness. There’s also a small upstairs snug where you’re welcome to relax and read a book or perhaps exchange stories with fellow guests. In addition guests can enjoy use of the Sitting Room and Drawing Room bar which is open from 16:00 - 23:00 - last orders at 22:40. *Please note the gable end where the Room 1 window is situated is perpendicular to the loch and therefore has a side view of the water. Room 1 has a super king size bed and heavy velvet curtains with blackout lining for the perfect night's sleep. Breakfast is included and is available from 08:00 - 09:30 in the Dining Room which looks out across Loch Ness. Together with other guests you can enjoy the view and watch the birds in the garden, you might even see the occasional red squirrel! Please discuss any dietary requirements with me in advance. Tables are available from 18:30-20:15 and must be booked in advance. We’ll be in touch ahead of your stay to confirm your reservation. Wifi is free and there is a large car park for your use and of course you may enjoy the garden. Access to Foyers Bay and the Loch side is a 5-10 minute walk downhill from the lodge. Stays are for a minimum of 2 nights. Owners Anna and Philip live at Foyers Lodge and will be on hand to help you at any time, so if you have any questions or require any assistance at all please just ask. Please note that Foyers Lodge sits on the outskirts of Foyers around 1 mile from the main hub of the village. Foyers lies 18 miles south of Inverness and 12 miles north of Fort Augustus. It's also worth noting that Foyers is situated on the quieter south side of Loch Ness so if you are looking to get away from it all and to enjoy walks, views and beautiful scenery in a peaceful location then this is the place for you. If you prefer access to lots of restaurants and tourist attractions (and 'A' roads ! ) you might prefer the north side of the Loch or somewhere closer to Inverness. As well as the famous 'Falls of Foyers' there are a variety of beautiful walks you can go on which take you around the village and beyond, including along the shoreline. If you are really into walking/hiking we are ideally situated for completing the South Loch Ness Trail or Loch Ness 360 - details available on either the walkhighlands or visitinvernesslochness websites. If you walk towards Inverfarigaig you will find Boleskine graveyard on the left hand side just 10 minutes walk from the lodge. Despite its secluded location, Foyers Lodge is relatively simple to find. Just half an hour off the two main roads from the South (the A9 and the A82); also half an hour from the railway station at Inverness; and only 45 minutes from the airport at Inverness. From Inverness, take the B862 towards Dores, then fork right on to the B852. Foyers Lodge is 10 miles along this loch-side road on the right a mile before the main village of Foyers. Please note that much of the B852 after Dores is a narrow winding road. There are plenty of passing places; don't worry if someone is close behind you, just pull over into an appropriate space and let them pass (you can continue to enjoy the views at your own pace). From Fort Augustus, take the B862 to just beyond the village of Whitebridge, then turn left on to the B852. Drive through Foyers and the property is on your left on the outskirts of the village. There is a service bus available to and from Inverness, the route is 16 and is run by Stagecoach, please check their website for timetables - no service on Sundays. We don’t accommodate infants or children under the age of 18. Each room has a maximum capacity of 2 adults. Check-in is from 16:00-21:00. We close/lock up at 23:00, entry to the lodge is not possible after this time. Check-out is by 10:00. Foyers Lodge is a licensed premises. Only drinks purchased at Foyers Lodge may be consumed unless paying corkage. The following corkage charges apply to any bottles you choose to bring with you and will be added to your bill: Wine/Champagne - £25 per bottle, Spirits - £75 per bottle We want guests to enjoy the grounds at Foyers Lodge in safety. Please do not venture beyond the main lawn area and be aware of the very steep bank at the edge of the garden. We provide all the necessities for modern living in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible, this includes wifi. However, being located in a rural setting means broadband speeds may not be as super-fast as you are accustomed to.
