Dominio Vale Flores is a small oasis where country living is 'the way of life'. Sharing time and moments in a pleasant atmosphere where your senses indulge the Portuguese and natural way of life. Each season has its own characteristic and offers a surprising stay. A relaxing place and a great starting point to discover Portuguese cities, villages, local markets and the Atlantic Coast. Our stay consists of 5 Bell Tents and 2 little houses. A small scale stay with a personal touch. Your all-season Bell tent is a comfortable stay during summer and also the colder winter months. Please note that this large version of the Bell Tent is comfortable to host maximum 4 persons (max. 3 adults/1 child 12 yrs due to bed availibility). You have your private bathcabin with a shower-toilet-washbasin) it is located within several meters from your tent. Outside is a sink available as well. To enter the tent there are 4 steps to climb while the side entrace is accesible by a ramp. During the colder months we provide a heater which keeps the tents comfortably warm. Your bed will be made up with the comfortable sheets and blankets from AtelierValeFlores. Bathrobes, a hairdryer and towels are provided to comfort your stay and give you the opportunity to 'travel light'. You can enjoy the swimmingpool (9x3) and the cooldownpool(14x5 - no diving). We also offer a soccertable, tabletennis and trampoline. If you want to relax, enjoy our lounge 'O Dominio' , here we serve your breakfast (included). A table with international magazines, a fireplace for the cooler months and seats in the sun or shade along the pond. Light lunches are available and 4 to 5 nights a week you can enjoy a dinner as well. As Daniel his background is South African, we had to add a African touch, ofcourse. We realised a so calles BOMA with a firepit. Enjoy the evenings around this cosy place. Dominio Vale Flores is runned by Daniel and Diederieke. We live in the mainhouse on the property with our three sons and our dog. We have a Dutch-South African background. Tourism and hospitality have always been part of our life. We enjoy to host our guests and let them experience the Portuguese way of life with an international touch. Dominio Vale Flores is located in Portugal's country side surrounded by olivetrees, farmland and nearbyvineyards. A comfortable place to relax but within reach of beautiful cities and places. Tomar, Obidos, Caldas da Rainha, Santarem, Fatima and Lisbon are located within an hour drive. Historical places like Batalha, Constancia and Golegao are worth a visit as well. We are located along one of the hiking trails to Fatima. Mountainbikes are available (extra charge) Actually a car is needed to go around. If you just want to relax and stay at Dominio Vale Flores, a tranfer from Santarem's trainstation is possible. On our quinta we are aware of nature and the environment, seems logical to us. The premise 'use what you have' is an important princile for us. Although we can not operate completely ecological, we do try to make the utmost account of nature. We grow our own veggies and herbs and many of the fruit trees are planted by us. The harvest is used for the meals in our lounge 'O Dominio'. Our aim is to eat and drink what the season rovides.
