Nannygoat Cottage is part of a small private country estate in the Lake District’s beautiful Lyth Valley, perfect for exploring the area, well located, rural and peaceful. Green fields, abundant wildlife and walks aplenty, the local pub is a stroll away. Relax in comfortable surroundings, the downstairs bedrooms and upstairs lounge with log burner takes full advantage of the scenery. The midlevel kitchen dining area gives access to the garden & outdoor seating. Country comfort at its best. Nannygoat cottage, newly renovated in January 2018 takes full advantage of the local views with a the sitting room upstairs and at mid level a spacious modern kitchen diner with high ceilings, the bedroom's and ensuites are downstairs. We have leather chesterfield sofas, high quality soft furnishings and personally sourced antique furniture and homewares aplenty. This is a romantic country cottage experience to relish. The former stable has vaulted ceilings the kitchen diner, original beams and ironwork throughout and is surprisingly spacious inside, the fantastic ambience set in the privately owned Broadoak Estate is perfect for getting away from it all. To reduce noise and increase facilities in the kitchen area, the joint laundry facilities are situated in a purpose built room alongside the cottages. We live on site, far enough away to ensure privacy but near enough to answer any questions. We are situated in the tranquil Lyth Valley, a hidden treasure of the Lake District National Park, a haven of wildlife and local country farming life, with pigs, cows, sheep and aplenty in the surrounding farmland. Perfectly peaceful a perfect get away for relaxing. A short drive from the M6, we are an ideal stepping stone to the Lake District. As we are just off the main tourist regions, the region is peaceful in the busy months, yet close enough to access the busier areas with ease. There is off road parking at the property for the guests, however we are not near to public transportation and it is only suitable for people who have their own transport. Dogs should not be left unattended in the cottages. In extreme circumstances we may be able to arrange a chargeable dog sitter. Although we are happy for you to bring your children, we do not provide travel cots or stair gates and are not able to provide a temporary solution for the open stairs which should be noted due to the design of the cottages. We also ask that children are not unattended in the grounds as we have open ponds and woodland. The Property is fully set up to accommodate four adults and under no circumstances are additional guests permitted stay overnight or leave cars or other vehicles parked in our property. As the cottage has a maximum occupancy of four adults and is situated on private land, if you expect additional visitors to call in during your stay then this should be agreed with the owners prior to their visit. Although we have ample off road parking for our guests, the parking area is not suitable for camper-vans, mobile homes, caravans, trailers, horseboxes, boats or vehicles above the size o (Website hidden by Airbnb) vehicle. ELECTRIC VEHICLES. We do not have facilities for charging electric or hybrid vehicles, please ensure recharging is done away from our property. Anyone found charging their vehicles from our sources will be receive a surcharge of 50.00 per vehicle per day/part day.
