This cozy modern cabin is in the heart of Mazama just 6 miles from the Mazama store and minutes from hiking and ski trails. The cabin is NOT a secluded cabin in the woods as you can see other houses around you and it is close to Lost River Road. But the road ends just north of the cabin and it is the "end of line" for Mazama and the Methow Valley, so the area remains fairly quiet. The well appointed kitchen is the focus of the cabin with stools around the center island for meals. The kitchen opens to a comfortable living room perfect for playing cards or resting and relaxing after a ski or hike. Bedroom 1 is on the main floor and has a queen size bed, closet and spacious dresser with a small private porch off the back door. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower and is on the main floor just off the living room. Bedroom 2 is accessed via an outside staircase with its own private entrance off an outside deck featuring a seating area and wonderful view. There is no WiFi and depending on your phone carrier, you probably won't have cell service at the cabin (but can get it when you're near the Mazama store or in Winthrop). There is a landline at the cabin for emergencies and local calls. The cabin is pet-friendly and welcomes up to 2 dogs per visit. COVID-19 UPDATE: Each person in your party should bring a mask for your trip. As you may know, the Methow Valley is a small community and has had relatively few cases of Covid-19. Protect yourself and the Valley by wearing your mask - especially if asked to - when you visit local stores and by observing social distancing when out on trails. The Mazama Store is open but you must still wear a mask to enter or get coffee. If you have any questions about what is expected of you as a visitor to the Methow Valley during this time, please contact me. Thank you - Jeremy The Mazama Unplugged Cabin is part of the Lost River Airport Association, a small community located in Lost River. The cabin is on the edge of the association, but neighbors homes can be seen from the cabin. It is a rural setting and most people in the neighborhood do not keep their dogs on leash. The neighbors have chickens and an aging Basset Hound named Ginger (who may stop by during dinner time) and a big black Newfoundland named Archie. Mazama is a small, special community in the northern most region of the Methow Valley. It is quite literally the end of the road as it is where Highway 20 closes in the wintertime. It is a small special community of people close to amazing hiking, beautiful rivers, and great skiing. COVID-19 UPDATE: Each person in your party should bring a mask for your trip.
