Patty's Barn is a collection of 4-star self-catering cottages, located 10 mins south of the historic city of Lancaster. Each cottage comes well equipped with everything you need for the perfect stay. Onsite you'll find our games room, outdoor dining area with BBQ fireplace, nature trail across open fields and private woodlands, a small gym and private events room. The perfect location for some peace and quiet, or to spend a fun weekend with a group of friends or have a family celebration. This charming barn conversion is 1 of 6 self-catering cobbled stone cottages. All full of character and original features, there is plenty of room to rest and relax whilst enjoying the unspoilt natural beauty of the surrounding area. You can walk the coastal pathway from your doorstep or explore our onsite nature trail across private woodlands, open fields, pond areas and two, 3-acre fishing lakes. The kitchens are fully equipped giving you that home away from home feeling and you’ll find fresh linen, towels, super-fast wi-fi, washing facilities, natural skincare products, etc, everything you need for a comfortable stay. We have plenty to explore onsite, from our communal games room which includes; a pool table, table tennis, air hockey. The Out Barn, a covered outdoor dining area, with a BBQ fireplace and decorated with rustic, quirky interiors. We have a private events room which you can hire for parties or, be sure to check out our sister company, The Rewilding which are located onsite with a calendar of inspiring events, workshops and food experiences to get involved with during your stay. There is a small gym if you want to keep up your fitness regime and lots of walks to explore right from your doorstep. You might even find yourself jumping out of a plane during your stay with The Black Knights Skydive Centre a stone's throw away. Plus, plenty more nooks and crannies to explore during your stay, we can't wait to meet you! You’ll have full private access to the cottage and all the shared areas onsite. This includes our games room which kids and adults love, equipped with air hockey, table tennis, and a pool table. If you like alfresco dining you can enjoy our covered outdoor dining area which is perfect for BBQs and gatherings. Onsite we have a nature trail that covers 4km, through our private woodlands, ponds and fields, there is lots of wildlife and nature to explore. Patty’s has two 3 acre fishing lakes containing carp up to 34lb, if fishing is your thing. There is a small gym onsite if you want to keep your fitness up whilst you're away and you'll can tick off skydiving from your bucket list at Black Knights Parachute Centre, which provides solo or tandem parachute jumps for either novices or those more experienced people. You’re on holiday so we’ll leave you to it. However if you need anything during your stay or want to have a chat about local recommendations or where to go, we’re happy to help. The  great outdoors are waiting to be explored right from your doorstep. There are coastal walks to stunning canal networks. The Lake District is a short drive, as is a breathtaking stroll through the Trough of Bowland with a stock of changing landscapes to enjoy.   There are many excellent restaurants, pubs and cafes, and we’re only a 7 mile drive from the city of Lancaster, which is great for shopping and exploring the historic centre. We live in a truly wonderful community with friendly people and beautiful landscapes and we hope you’ll enjoy it too. It’s best if you have a car to get around and about to truly appreciate the scenic Lancashire countryside. Situated on the edge of Morecambe Bay, along with being close to Lancaster, Preston and Blackpool, Patty’s is ideally located for your holiday or break with a wide range of activities within easy reach.
