Sleeps up to 9 including a ground floor room with accessible bed and wet room. Feels cosy despite size. Large lounge and separate dining room + snug with 55’’ TV. Superfast broadband. FREE CANCELLATION IF DUE TO COVID Located less than 10 minutes flat walk from Oxwich beach - one of the best in the UK with gently shelving sand and dunes behind. Also a great base from which to explore the rest of the Gower peninsula - everything from open moorland to cliff tops, incredible beaches (Rhossili is a great surfing beach), ancient settlements and even one of the few salt marshes in the UK. Although the property is large, it feels equally homely whether there are 2 or 9 people staying. We have created a ground floor bedroom with electrically adjustable bed adjacent to an accessible wet room so even those who are less mobile can enjoy the space. With 4 bathrooms there should be no queues in the morning and there is even an external dog shower (also great for hosing down sandy feet and wetsuits). Parking for 4 cars (we have had 4 builders vans with no problem). Something for the whole family whatever the weather. 5 bedrooms (one accessible), 4 bathrooms (one accessible), Kitchen, Utility, Living Room, Dining Room, Snug, Garden and BBQ area. Super fast broadband though out and as well as 2 x 55’’ TVs downstairs, all bedrooms have their own TVs. Sky TV (inc Sports and kids) and Netflix available Large range cooker in hand built kitchen so perfect to home meals but several high quality eating options within walking distance (and many more a short drive or hike away). A Mecca for beach lovers (Oxwich beach has won numerous awards and is a level 7-8 minutes walk (quicker with excited children!), walkers cyclists and foodies (even a Michelin starred restaurant 10 minutes walk away!) and with the facilities at the property and externally locally (including a water sports centre with kayaks, paddle boards and lots more) there is something for everyone whatever the weather. Elizabeth and I spend the majority of our time in Devon and Cornwall due to work commitments. We are experienced hosts and find that we are able to support our guests remotely so that they can enjoy their stay with no interference (Assuming that we are informed if there are any issues). However, we have a network of friends and family locally who are able to attend on the rare occasions that this is required. Oxwich is on the South of The Gower Penninsula - An area of outstanding natural beauty combining ancient history, spectacular cliffs and mores and some of the best beaches in the UK (and I’m saying that as someone who works in and loves Cornwall!). It is relatively undiscovered yet less than 4 hours drive from London and 3 from the Midlands. It is only 30-40 minutes off of the M4 depending which route you take. The city of Swansea is only 35 minutes drive away, but there is little reason to leave the Gower as there are several pubs and restaurants (including a Michelin restaurant at Oxwich) as well as plenty of shops for supplies. There are also numerous beaches to explore, from the 3.5 miles of sand at Rhossili (with great surf) to numerous secluded Sandy coves to the wildlife utopia that is Whitford sand and the salt marshes on North Gower. All within a short drive and most within walking distance depending on how energetic you are feeling. South Wales boasts many other spectacular sights, ranging from several ancient castles to the remote splendour of the Brecon Beacons. As there is plenty of parking at Bryn View and it is a 7-8 minute level walk to the beach you will feel very smug when you see the queue for the beach car park! Many guests do not use their car once at the property as there is so much within walking distance. However, getting around by car is usually easy as long as you avoid peak times (and even then the back roads are often very quiet). There is a bus service from Swansea that stops 5 minutes from the door.
