The Homestead - In Heavenly Devon!

The Homestead is located in the middle of a beautiful 50 acre grassland farm just outside the market town of Holsworthy and just 15 to 20 mins drive from the amazing beaches at Bude. It sleeps 2 persons with plenty of space and comfort. Living areas are made for relaxing, kitchen modern and fully equipped, bedroom cosy, bathroom bright and fresh. Perfect for couples looking for that extra special West Country holiday. The Homestead is positioned in its own private garden adjacent to the farm vegetable garden and has views over wild countryside meadows. With plenty of space and comfort, the open plan living area has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The lounge is spacious with two comfortable leather sofas, stereo, TV, DVD, log burner and of course fantastic views out over the surrounding countryside. The bedroom is cosy, but spacious. The bathroom is fully tiled, with shower over bath and spotlessly clean. Although bright and airy, the Homestead is super insulated so is cosy & warm with efficient heating. Whenever you visit, whatever the weather, you will be very comfortable. The garden is totally private equipped with picnic bench, easy chairs, hammock and BBQ! Not to forget you have the whole farm to explore with its nature trail, river walks, rope swings and fire pit! As well as the Homestead and its private garden you are free to explore the farm as you wish. It is a haven for wildlife and has a farm trail created in partnership with Devon Wildlife Trust. The Homestead is situated in the heart of rural North Devon on the border with Cornwall, but just a stones throw from the lovely Market Town of Holsworthy with traditional shops and pubs. If outdoor activities are your thing they are all available including cycling, walking, canoeing, surfing, golf, archery, coasteering and rock climbing. We are close to lovely Tamar and Roadford lakes, Bodmin and Dartmoor. We are an easy drive to Bude and its beaches, Boscastle, Hartland, Clovelly and lots of other lovely places including gardens at Rosemoor, the Eden project and various National Trust properties. There are also plenty of attractions including steam railways, wildlife parks, theme parks etc! You really do need a car to get about due to our rural location. Logs are extra @ just £5.00 per large basket for the log burner or fire pit. Due to COVID-19 Basic cooking ingredients, salt, pepper, oil etc is not provided. Kitchen equipment has been reduced to essentials. Soft furnishings such as cushions, rugs, books, games have been removed. This is to ensure we can clean everything to the required standard. Please be assured that the Homestead is still a lovely and comfortable hideaway for your westcountry escape!
