Midway between Bordeaux and Périgueux and only 20 km away from Pomerol and Saint Emilion, Chateau de Mondésir is an ideal starting point to discover the charms of the Bordeaux and Bergerac vineyards, and secrets of Perigord like Lascaux and Sarlat. Inside a charming 17th century manor, two suites (two and three rooms) with private bathroom and telephone, taking up to four and five people, + a surprising circular room on the second floor of the 13th century donjon and also an independent and romantic friend's house with king size bed + living room with fireplace. Our 14x5 meters pool and private tennis court, and the shady paths of the woods nearby will help you get an appetite for breakfast which will be served, in the summer in the shade of a parasol or of the chestnut tree, or in the autumn by the fireside. Martine and Laurent LUTZ love to attend the dinners which are proposed to you and to share their own experiences and tastes with your's Vines, pastures, fields of corn and sunflowers, woods, lakes and streams mean that our local countryside looks like a garden, made up of green valleys which are still cultivated in the traditional way. Mondésir stands within a 90-acres estate, with 30 acres of vineyard producing a reputable red Bergerac wine (Guide Hachette and various rewards). The château and its gardens are on the crest of a hill with a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside.
