Wilson bay farm, Pelorus sound. A 5th generational historical family farm

WE ARE BOAT ACESS ONLY. MINIMUM STAY THREE NIGHTS Update// Our neighbours at Te Rawa lodge are closed from the 14th of April. They will open again later in the year. We are sheep farming, feel free to join in. Although we are only boat access, it is only 45 minutes by boat to Havelock. We also live on the farm (with our 2 children,) and own our own boat. We have limited spark cell phone coverage. The house is alternative power, cooking facilities are gas, and a generator is run twice a day for fridges, freezers, washing machine etc...torches or lanterns are needed for when the power is turned off. Beautiful, modern, framos house, sectioned off, with its own garden, overlooking the sea. This properties most beautiful asset is its remoteness, due to being only boat access. We are a 5th generation farming family, with 1700 acres of land for you to explore. Come and watch the cow being milked every morning, and try some fresh milk! There is a lot of native bush, home to many native birds. Do some dolphin spotting from the wharf (they do pass by from time to time, and although not a regular occurrence we had orca swimming in the bay). Our farm walk does a complete circuit around the property, which is a large peninsular. you can go for a short walk to check out the glow worms. Internet is available only while the generator is running. (Approx 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours or more at night) this also for lights, freezers TV etc.. Access to the most beautiful scenery in the Pelorus , with views stretching from the back of Blenheim to the North Island. The mailboat runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays . (pre booking recommended) or book a water taxi out. The water taxis leave from Havelock, and can be found on the internet. Special conditions: Smoking allowed outside only. No parties No dogs under any circumstances. At times generator hours may change, e.g. if we are shearing. This doesn't affect cooking, as it is all gas. Extras: Cleaning (included); Linen (included);
