Two private rooms and a private bathroom. Bus and train are nearby. These rooms have total privacy with full and sole use of the upstairs area. Bathroom There is large bathroom with bath, large shower cubicle and toilet. Bathroom essentials and a hair dryer are provided. Breakfast Breakfast consists of a choice of cereals, fruit in season, yoghurt, home made jams, toast, tea and coffee. Let us know if you have special dietary requirements. Local Area Four eating places are a 4 minute walk away, and another five are a 4 minute drive away. At the top of the street, you can catch a bus into the city, or, a further 5 minutes walk brings you to the metro train station. The Adelaide City Transport system is very effective and efficient. We have two electronic metro cards for your use. Adelaide has also been given the title : "City of Music" by the UNESCO Cultural Creative Cities Network. So, there is a myriad of fascinating places to visit in the city areas.Try the Trip Advisor website for places to visit in Adelaide. The international airport, coast and city are 25 minutes drive away. All of them can easily be accessed by bus, train or tram. You can buy a Metro Ticket on board and this lasts for 2 hours use on bus, train and tram. The Adelaide Transport System is effective and efficient. Some guest have easily coped without hiring a car. The areas around Adelaide are world famous for their "Tuscan Hills" and wine growing regions. The Barossa Valley is 1 hour by car; Clare Valley 2 hours and McClaren Vale 30 minutes. The neighbourhood is close to the large Belair National Park where you can see koalas, bandicoots, echidnas, kangaroos, emus and lots of parrots. Honeyeaters, blue wrens and jackie winters are in our garden. The Sheoak Café serves great French patisserie and, is on the way back from the Park. Suggested day trips:- DAY 1 Tour the Town Hall ( Monday at 10 am) and learn of Adelaide's history. The Central Markets are nearby and well worth a visit. Visit the Museum, Art Gallery (and restaurant), Wine Centre ( wine tasting and restaurant), Ayers House (restaurant) and Botanical Gardens (restaurants) which are all on North Terrace. Nearby Rundle Street has alfresco dining. Norwood Parade is worth a visit DAY 2 Full day trip to the Barossa Valley via Henschke Cellars, Keyneton and then lunch at Maggie Beer's in the Barossa. You can visit Penfold, Seppletsfield and Jacob's Creek wineries. Drive on breathtaking country roads via Angaston, or, Main North Road via Gawler. DAY 3 Drive through glorious countryside to a seaside resort - Victor Harbour via McClaren Vale Wineries. Port Noarlunga with its pier and reef is brilliant. Then onto an old river port - Goolwa and return via Strathalbyn. HALF DAY 4 Visit Hahndorf, and, the Cedars where Hans and Nora Heysen painted. Stirling is a delightful nearby village. Ask us about good cafes, coffee houses and fine dining.i We have a Bushfire Survival Plan that we implement on "severe, extreme and catastrophic" fire danger days. We will inform you about such days at breakfast. Adelaide has a dry climate. Winters are wet and piercingly cold. Layers of clothing are recommended with gloves, scarf and hat. Summer is hot and dry so body cream, lots of drinking water and a sunhat are recommended. During Covid times we will ask you to inform us of your Covid status.
