Our spacious villa, in Apulia, has a large private pool, a modern well equipped kitchen, typical Apulian star ceilings and many lovely terraces and cozy outdoor places. Perfect for a large family or friends on vacation. It is located in the beautiful countryside among olive groves only 800 meters from the super friendly and genuine medieval town of Oria, with shops, restaurants and Italy's best ice cream. 25 min from the airport and beautiful beaches facing two seas either side of Apulia. It is a spacious house with two floors, ideal for 8-10 people. With 5-6 bedrooms. There is also a sofa bed, and several extra beds, both indoors and out. If you would like single rooms. Ground floor with open and social space with kitchen, dining room and living room with typical Pugliese star-vaulted ceilings. The indoor kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need if you like to cook. There is a dishwasher and a big electric oven. The connecting dining room has a fireplace and space for many guests. There is also a living room, two bathrooms and a bedroom with a double bed and a part of the room with two beds suitable for kids. A perfect hangout for tweens and teens. This room is a walk thru, but you can easily use the kitchen door not to disturb. This room has a ensuit bathroom. Upstairs there are 4 bedroms. One double bedroom, a triple bedroom, a bedroom with 2 beds and a single room. All bright and welcoming. Upstairs there are two toilets one with a shower. There is two large terraces connected to the big bedrooms. On the roof there is a large terrace with a spectacular view over the landscape and the city of Oria. Perfect for an evening drink in the sunset. The house has floor heating and a wood burning stove providing warmth in the cooler months. All bedrooms have aircon/heating. The swimming pool is 5 x 13 meters that goes from shallow to deep with a diving-board over the deep end. Inside the pool there is a child-friendly edge for standing all the way around. At the front of the house is a large dining table, seating 20 under a shady pergola. There is an outdoor kitchen and you can use the gas bbq or traditional barbecue with firewood. Dine in the pergola surrounded by all kinds of flowers, read a book in the hammock, float in the pool, or take a siesta in the shade. There are a variety of cozy places around the garden with 28 olive trees and an orchard containing lemon, orange, nectarine, pomegranate, mulberry, pear, and figs. We also grow a wide variety of herbs for cooking. Wake up with the rooster, take the bike to buy bread in Oria, and grab a cappuccino in the square and watch the town wake up. Walk among the olive groves with 2000 year old olive trees, planted by the Romans. There are 4 old bikes that you can borrow for free. Parking for several cars. (Even camper fits) We want you to feel at home!! You will have access to the whole house except for a locked closet and a storage room. You can use spices and what ever you find in the kitchen, as well as and toys, books, games etc. Free Wifi access both inside and outside. We or our caretaker will meet you in the house when you arrive and make sure that you come to grips with technology, wifi, kitchen appliances, etc. We make the beds before your arrival and provide towels, and necessaries. On departure day we or our caretaker will meet you up. Our caretaker is minutes away if you need help with anything during your stay and we can answer any question by phone, what's up, mail etc. The pool attendants will come at least once a week to clean the pool and once to check. If you stay 2 weeks or more we will change your beds and towels every week. Do not hesitate to ask us anything about the house or its surroundings! We can help you find the nice cafés, good restaurants, the best beaches, wineries, exciting excursions, sights or fun activities for children and teenagers - in Oria or around Puglia. From the house it is walking distance (12 min) to the genuine medieval town of Oria. Here you rarely find any tourists and will be warmly welcomed by the friendly Oritani people. Oria has fabulous and affordable restaurants, the most delicious ice cream you have ever eaten and great coffee. In Oria you shop bread, fish, meat and locally grown vegetables in small shops. Fruits and vegetables follow the season and taste magical! Puglia is famous for its food and there are many places to enjoy fabulous cuisine at excellent prices. A cappuccino costs a euro compared to 2-3 euro in more turistic cities. The prices of drinks and food is generally up to 30 % lower. Food is important in Puglia, like passageata, which means that the whole town is wandering around town in the evening to talk with you and each other and have a drink or an ice cream before dinner. In august Oria has a large medieval festival, the Torneo dei Rioni. It is a great celebration with a spectacular show and a fiesta with 800 costumed participants parading through the old town center and the castle. Enjoy the beautiful walk to Oria old town, among the old olive trees, vineyards almond trees, wildflowers and the walk back at night under the stars. An unspoiled part of Italy Oria, in the Italian heel, is where you can still find the genuine old-fashioned authentic Italy. Living here is like being in a wonderful time machine, going back to good local food, a lot of small shops and friendly laid-back people. Oria is located in the very center of Puglia and constitutes the doorway to the Salento peninsula. It is 25 min away from the crystal clear sea and its stunning beaches on both side of the coast. A perfect spot to explore Puglia, away from the beaten track of mass tourism. Puglia offers two coast lines, a vast number of hill towns each with their own characteristics, and always beautiful, rugged scenery with knotted olive trees, spring flowers, red soil and acres of vineyards. The villa is located 25 min from the Ionian Sea with miles of beaches where you are completely alone during off seasons. Adriatic coast, and the airport of Brindisi, 30 minutes. Beautiful Francavilla Fontana is a larger town 7 minutes away, Manduria and its vineyards is only 10 min away. Valle Tria and Ostuni are 30 minutes away. Trulli town Alberobello is 40 minutes away and the Baroque town of Lecce is well worth a visit. Otranto and the spectacular coast at Torre del'Orso are located less than an hour away There is a train station in Oria (Brindisi-Taranto line) and there is a bus to the beach (july-august), but we recommend having a car to get around easily in Puglia. Airport transfer to the house costs 50 euros and we recommend that you book in advance through us. We have a pool attendant but it’s recommended that you keep the pool clean by removing leaves and other debris as needed. It is important to shower before swiming. When you check out we will take care of the cleaning but during your rent you need to take care of garbage according to the local rules. It's easy, just put the garbage outside the gates in the evening on designated days. The villa is equiped with an alarm system.
