The cottage is converted from former an 18th century stables and coach house that was once part of the Heytesbury Estate. It's in a semi rural location on the edge of a lovely village with two pubs and the beautiful river Wylye.. it is five miles from Longleat and half an hour drive from Bath. The house looks out across fields.has five bedrooms two bathrooms and a downstairs loo. The kitchen has an aga and cooker. The house is spacious but with a cosy cottage feel - it was converted from former 18th century stables accomodation, There is plenty of space and a good size garden a wood burning stove in the livng room and an aga in the kitchen as well as a cooker. There are low beams upstairs because of the nature of this building. From the Autumn it will be arranged as a five bedroomed house. The bedrooms will be as follows: one superking, two king, one double and one smaller room with a double bed There are two spacious bathrooms and a downstairs loo. There is an eat in kitchen, a separate dining room, a spacious lounge with wood burning stove, and a conservatory overlooking the patio. The garage has been set up as a screen room but it is not decorated and is just for use if guests would find that fun maybe for teenagers but dont expect it to be smart! There are two parking spaces with the house please these are on the garden side not the courtyard side = please dont park in the courtyard this belongs to the neighbour I will be available on the phone but have a local manager youll be able to contact Great location for families and walkers. The house is ten minutes drive from Longleat and is in a beautiful village in an area of outstanding beauty. the Wessex way runs through the village taking walkers to Salsibury Plain and the Great Ridge. It is close to a dark skies area so the stars can be enjoyed from the property. There is a river through the village with a millpond close by where children and some adults often enjoy paddling and a little swim. It is about an hour and twenty minutes from Poole and Bournemouth beaches. A car is recommended. There are two parking spaces but free parking on roads in the village. The Wessex Way runs thought the village - this is a lovely walk in both directions and you may see small groups of walkers passing the house Although it is a semi rural spot there is some road noise from the A36 - this is over a field away from the house and you will only notice it in the garden not in the house - it is not visible from the house or garden. The view from the garden is over fields sometimes with sheep in them.
