★ Modern guestroom | own bathroom | aircondition ★
Hi, located between Hirschgarten and Nymphenburg Castle our guestroom with private bathroom is the ideal starting point to explore Munich. With the tram right outside the door, you get to Munich Central or Oktoberfest/ZOB within 10-15 minutes. Entering our flat you will find a separate area, consisting of a bedroom (12qm/130sqf) with two regular beds, tv, fridge, water cooker as well as across the hallway a separate, private bathroom with toilet and shower. There is also a high table with two chairs. The beds are multifunctional, meaning you can have them placed single, double or - for parties of one - stapled on top of each other (please see pix). The room has a window to the street, so when open you will hear street noise (no noise noticeable when shut). The flat itself is located 100 meters West of Romanplatz at the top floor (4th) of a multi-family home est. 1900 (no elevator - it is necessary to climb steps) with a restaurant on ground level. Right past the flats main entrance you enter your guest area. The main door as well as the hallway serves both sections, but rest of the flat is separated by a glas door, so if you choose to be by yourself, you can. However, we always welcome a chat with some openminded people. During your stay you may use our washing machine as well as our dryer, which are both located in the guest area of the flat (inside white cabinet right outside the guestroom). The usage fee is 5€ per wash (incl. dryer use) to be paid in cash at location. When traveling we always enjoyed staying with private hosts ourselves, since this is the best way to really get to know a place. With our separate guest area you are free to choose, either you stay by yourself, or you come over to our area for a coffee, a chat and a nice view on top of Munich. We also happy to share tipps and advice on where and how to go about in Munich. We have two small children as shown in our profile, which we try to keep as calm as possible. However, when we are home you will possibly hear some children noise, especially in the morning when we get them ready for day care. Even though we live in the city, we have our two huge "gardens" within walking distance: Hirschgarten and Nymphenburg Park. Both are also popular tourist destinations. Most sightseeing busses stop at the Nymphenburg castle, and if you are looking for some bavarian Biergarten culture after your visit to the castle, you just have to walk over to Hirschgarten to find the biggest of its kind in Munich. There are also various restaurants within the neighbourhood, two of which are located close by to our building (Italian and Greek). At the nearby Romanplatz you can satisfy almost all your daily needs, having 2 supermarkets, bakeries, several pharmacies, bookstore, post office and banks. Central starting point to explore the city is the Romanplatz. Here you find trams 12, 16 and 17 and metro bus 51. Tram 12 takes you to the next subway station at Rotkreuzplatz (U1), or you travel further on to Schwabing and Olympiapark. Trams 16 and 17 take you to the city center, the main station (13min), the ZOB (10min) and to Hackerbrücke. Exiting at Hackerbrücke it is just a short walk to the Oktoberfest. Metro Bus 51 takes you in 5-10 minutes to Laimer Station, where you can enter the Suburban train main routes. If all of this doesn't satisfy your transportation needs, there is also a taxi/cab station at Romanplatz. NOTE: In 2019 there is some major street construction at Romanplatz-Station which causes delays. Also the tram station has been moved for this purpose for about 100 meters. We have a code lock at our door, so you can even check in when we are not home yet.
