House in the Park. B&B with up to 3 bedrooms.

We live in a large recently renovated house, situated in the protected wooded park surrounding the 17th century Château of Maisons-Laffitte, 12 minutes walk from the RER and the centre of town, and 25 minutes from Paris by train and 30 minutes from the SNCF university. It has a large garden, sided by a wood. 3 private bedrooms sleep up to 6 people. The bedrooms are in a separate part of the house, ensuring privacy. Breakfast is included and served in our kitchen. All rooms have a garden view. We have space for 3 cars in our private drive next to the house. If you arrive on foot we are less than 15 minutes from the station and easy to find. The 3 bedrooms and bathroom are on the 1st floor on one side of the house and give onto a landing, ideal for a family. Booking only 1 room is possible, please ask us and you will be alone and have the bathroom to yourself. Access is through our front door which leads into our kitchen and open plan living room. Breakfast is served here overlooking the garden. Ann is a professional artist, of Swedish/English /French origins and her studio is on the ground floor. She works from home and will be around to welcome you with Alfie the dog. Jeremy runs a local glass company and is British. The house is situated in “The Park” of Maisons-Laffitte. The town is twinned with Newmarket in the UK and is home to many stables and is criss crossed with horse tracks and dotted with small woods. It is a very special place. Maisons-Laffitte has a main street lined with trees. The walk into town is a pleasant stroll along a tree lined alley. The town has a good selection of bakers, restaurants and cafés plus the renowned grocery store the "Epicerie de Longueuil" a shop with an abundant wine cellar and amazing selection of all types of food, cheeses, coffees and teas etc. Maisons-Laffitte is on the RER A line and SNCF network. The station is at the end of the main street. Trains run into St.Lazare station in Paris, taking 25 minutes, costing 3.70€, when buying a carnet of 10 tickets, and leaving roughly every 30 minutes. The RER A leaves every 10 minutes and arrives in La Défense in around 15 minutes and Charles de Gaulle Etoile in 20 minutes. The cost is the same as the train. The park is a beautiful spot to relax and stroll around and a visit to the chateau, 10 minutes walk away from the house, is recommended. We are a family of mixed European background and enjoy meeting new people from wherever they may come.
