Lake of Como is one of the most chosen international holidays destination. The apartment is also conveniently located along the "Sentiero del Viandante", a fantastic panoramic trail connecting the south to the north of the lake and crossing valleys, lake shores and old villages, including ours! it is a fantastic experience also for the autumn and winter period so we invite you to try it and lodge here if you need a pit stop, a warm shower and a comfy place before starting the long walk again. We are also open to guest O&G professional that may need a base to stay for their activities in the factories around Colico (15 km far, to the North). You reach them in 10 minutes by car using the high speed road (SS36), departing from Bellano. Reach out if you need more information on the neighborhood. Bellano can be reached by train (direct trains are running from Milano Central Station). The apartment is located uphill (15 minutes walking from the Station). It is advised if you come with luggage that you rent a taxi. Dad can come to pick you up with the car. In general all the Como Lake area is best practicable when you have a car because bus or taxi service is very limited. Ferry is available in Bellano for passengers transport only, Ferry with option to transport your car is available from/to the near village of Varenna. The nearest airport is Milano Orio al Serio (Bergamo), offering Ryanair cheap connections or Milano Linate airport, with domestic and international flights. Bellano is a small town with many facilities (Post office, Pharmacy, Banks, Markets, Gas station, Railway station, Ferry) which faces out on the Como lake. In spite of the growing tourism in the area, the village preserves its own authenticity without being stormed by mass tourism. This makes Bellano a great starting spot to visit the most popular tourist destinations (Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio), or to enjoy the local attractions (Sentiero del Viandante, L'Orrido, Fiumelatte, Lierna), or even to explore further (Valtellina is only 20 minutes drive!! and, why not? Milano and Como).
