A modern, self-contained loft with its own garage, separate from main house and overlooking a tranquil garden. Perfect for 2, there are many pleasant walks and spectacular beaches close by. Lively Matakana and all its amenities are a 5 minute drive. You can bike if you prefer, there are excellent cafes 10 minutes away and it's an easy bike ride or walk to Omaha. A great base for exploring the region. An airy, comfortable, upstairs living space including a basically equipped kitchenette with microwave, toaster and fridge and an electric frying pan. Nicely furnished with a dining table and chairs, sofa and TV with a USB port (bring your own movies on a data stick!). Wifi is available, but can drop out on occasion. The code is available in the accommodation. There is a very comfortable queen bed with fresh linen. The accommodation is north facing, light and sunny. There is heating for a cosy Winter stay. You can enjoy pleasant views over the garden to the hills with a glimpse of the river. Downstairs is a shower with towels supplied, toilet, parking and space to put your canoes or bicycles if you require. We have a couple of older bikes and a canoe that you can also use. The accommodation is ideal for individuals or couples. It is not suitable for toddlers or children. Please contact me if you would like further information or have specific requests. The accommodation is stand alone, self-contained with your own garage parking and a separate entrance. If we are not at home, there is a lock box and key, so you are able to let yourselves in at any time. There is outdoor furniture and a deck to relax on. There is a separate garden area for guests, but we ask guests not to wander into the garden directly behind the main house as we let our dog run there (we are in the process of putting up another fence). He's perfectly friendly but we don't want him to escape! We will be present during all or some of your stay and we are happy to provide information and recommendations of what to do in the area. There is also information available in your accommodation. Point Wells has the best of all worlds. It is a small, friendly harbourside village. Our accommodation is 5 minutes walk from the water, good for sailing. There is a beautiful surf beach close by and numerous spectacular coastal walks. Basic and upmarket supermarkets and cafes are nearby. It is ideal for walking, running or biking. There are both taxis and a bus service to Warkworth every 90 minutes and from there easy access to Auckland and the airport or other links. Point Wells retains the charm of older New Zealand with access to all the modern facilities and some of the most spectacular coastline you can find anywhere. Added to this are a unique cinema, boutique shops, restaurants, vineyards, galleries, artisan workshops, golf courses, a world class marine reserve, sailing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, walking in the national reserves to name a few of the available activities.
