Riverside, pet friendly cottage with large garden

Beautiful stone, pet friendly cottage, right on the river in West Camel, with its thriving local pub the Walnut Tree (5 mins walk). It is equal driving distance to Sherborne and Yeovil (10 mins), and situated less than 500 metres from the A303. Lots of National Trust places close by, Lytes Cary (10 min), Montacute (15 min), Stourhead (20 min). Haynes Motor and Fleet Air Arm museum are less than 5 minute drive. 1 King and 1 Twin with bathroom. 2 dogs allowed. Private large enclosed garden. Our cottage is in the grounds of our family house situated next to a river which is fenced off for safety, but tranquil and beautiful, looking over the fields with the donkeys and sheep in. The main house used to be an old Mill and from the main bedroom you can lie in bed and listen to the river below. Downstairs there is a kitchen leading through to a lounge/dining room with table, chairs and sofa, the floor is stone. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one king and one twin, with a family shower room. Outside there is a very large enclosed garden with grass, a patio area with furniture all overlooking the beautiful river Cam. The cottage has been renovated in Spring 2021 to a very high standard The cottage is next to our family home, but is totally separate once you pass through the gate into your garden and you'll have total privacy. If you need anything at all while staying with us, you can easily pop over or give us call. You will also most likely meet our lovable giant, Rocky the Bernese. The cottage is in the village of West Camel which has a beautiful old church, and a thriving local pub which does lovely food and is popular with the locals. There is also a children's playground and tennis court. It is just off the A303 and half way between London and Cornwall. The neighbouring village of Queen Camel is a 25 minute walk away and also has a local shop open 7 days a week, a village pub and village cafe. There is a footpath bordering the property which is perfect for dog walking and maps and routes are provided in the welcome pack. Attractions nearby include: Haynes Motor Museum, Fleet Air Arm Museum, Sherborne Abbey, Clark's Shopping village, Glastonbury, Cider Farms and a number of National Trust places.
