My home is in a conservation area close to a recently restored victorian municipal park. It's a short distance from Cremyll foot passenger ferry which takes you over to Cornwall and 1.2 miles from Plymouth city centre. Dartmoor is easily accessible. There are two bedrooms available. A double and a single. There is a sea view from the good sized single room. The double room has an old french bed and silk curtains. They are good comfortable rooms both with original fireplaces. Guests are allowed to use the kitchen, breakfast room, bathroom and lounge. The back garden is in the process of being redesigned for next year so at the moment is not accessible. Although I do not officially provide breakfast there will be swiss style muesli available with fresh fruit and of course tea and coffee. When you arrive I'll take you around the house and explain where everything is. I have knowledge of the area so if there's anything you need to know I'll do my best to inform you or tell you where to find out. Stoke is a residential area on the outskirts of Plymouth city. The conservation area has many Victorian and Edwardian buildings and is quite a leafy area compared to some other parts of Plymouth. Devonport naval dockyard is about a half mile away - handy for the managers in the 1930's for whom the houses in my road were built. My home is a short bus ride away from the city centre and Plymouth railway station (about 15 minutes). You can also take a branch line train from Devonport station which is a five minute walk from my house. The train will take you along the Tamar Valley where there are some lovely walks and will also connect you to other county towns and villages. Buses from the city centre will take you out to other towns and villages and the moors. The ferry port is a 30 minute walk from my house - that is from my front door to the terminal building. A taxi will take you there in 5 -7 minutes for under £5. My house is in a cul de sac and parking is on street, however my previous guests haven't had trouble finding a spot. There is a pussy cat in residence.
