Orangerie Nature Cottage
Cottage in a 32 acre private estate with a private terrace in the heart of an orchard. Right in the middle of the “Golden Triangle” of the Châteaux of the Loire Valley, this cottage Orangerie is part and parcel of the Laborde Saint-Martin Estate. The old orangery had been beautifully restored and can host 4 people in a very quiet environment. Nested in the background of the park in a very peaceful and quiet environment/area It has a direct access and a private terrace to the (heart of the) orchard On the ground floor you can find a lounge, living room, a fully/well-equipped kitchen and toilets. There is also a large bay window offering a beautiful view on the Château and the cedars trees. Upstairs: two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. One of the room has a king-size bed and the other room has two simple beds. Toilets are in the bathroom. On the terrace you can find a teak garden furniture, a parasol, some deckchairs and a barbecue. Cottages are in free management but we are here to help you. We can also give you some advices about places to visit so that you can enjoy your stay as much as possible! Once you’ve opened the gates, you are on the « Loire à vélo » cycling route : the nearest place to visit is Chaumont-sur-Loire ( 6km away) then Amboise… In the town you will find : a bakery, a butcher, a hairdresser and a tobacco and newspaper shop. Two wonderful restaurants. A pizza truck twice a week. Supermarket and pharmacy/chemist 5km away. The SNCF (French rail service) offers to put bicycles up on the regional trains (TER). Our town is called Candé-sur-Beuvron : it is situated/located between Orléans and Tours and 12 km south of Blois if you drive along the Loire. This little green village/town is at the heart of the Loire Valley and is crossed by two rivers : le Beuvron and le Cosson. Here you’ll find an amazing natural area with its rivers. In the town, the Cosson continues on the Beuvron which continues itself in the Loire (registered in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites). The cottage is situated on the “Loire à Vélo” cycling route. We’re only 6 km away from the magnificient Château in Chaumont-sur-Loire. Very often –at dawn or at sunset- hot-air balloons fly over Chaumont-sur-Loire.
