Lizard Lodge is a tranquil hideaway on the edge of Auckland in the foothills of the Waitakere ranges. An easy scenic drive to the West Coast beaches, 25 minutes to the city, about 30 min from the airport. Own transport is needed, a great place for longer stays or those relocating. Walking tracks close by, relax in comfort. Everything you need for a perfect getaway, our 80 sq meter apartment is full of character and warmth. Wood burning fireplace and heat pump / aircon unit keeps you cozy. Spacious, one bedroom apartment, sunny outdoor area and beautiful views. Attached to main house but separate entrance and totally private. All you need for a self contained stay. Entire apartment available for guests. Hosts live in main house with separate entrances. We live in the house above the flat. Guest accommodation is entirely separate. We have a dog, a medium sized terrier called Banjo. He will give you a noisy welcome! Beautiful tree covered suburb with lots of walking tracks and lifestyle blocks. 10 minute drive to cafes and shops, 25 minute drive to the CBD. Very quiet and a great place to relax. Parking available on site. Public transport 10 minute drive. Own transport required as train service/buses are a 10 minute drive from this property.
