Upcott Mead is a spacious detached family house with a large south/west facing garden and within easy walking distance of the town centre of Okehampton. It is ideally suitable for Family Holidays. Situated perfectly to explore Dartmoor and with the North Coast of Cornwall/Devon only an hours drive away. Okehampton is a thriving town with many amenities including a golf course, swimming pool, cinema, large recreational park and a range of supermarkets. Upcott Mead has ample parking for 3 cars and we are happy to consider small/medium dogs. The garden is large, sunny and very safe for children. There is also an enclosed and sheltered and very sunny courtyard area. Okehampton has direct access to Dartmoor for moorland walking and also the 'Granite Way' cycle route starts at Okehampton railway station. From there its possible to cycle or walk to a number of excellent pubs and cafes. Okehampton Golf course is a very friendly Club with excellent facilities to accompany its 18 holes and they warmly welcome visitors. Okehampton Guests have full sole use of all parts of the house and gardens. Some exterior buildings such as the garage are unavailable. Please contact us before booking if you wish to bring a dog. We live relatively closeby and are happy to help out/ advise etc as needed. We both have extensive knowledge of the area, its amenities and attractions . Upcott Mead is in a quiet residential area on the edge of Okehampton. The house is detached in its own grounds and not overlooked Okehampton has regular bus services to Exeter and Launceston and Bude. The main bus stop is a 5 minute walk away as are all the shops including Waitrose, Lidl and Co-op Supermarkets. There is also a newly opened Wetherspoons (White Hart Hotel) in the centre of town Minimum 5 night rentals No Party Groups. No Smoking.
