Welcome to Auckland! Enjoy your time in New Zealand's largest city. You’ll love our place because of the great central location, just a few km from the CBD with handy access to all amenities. For everyone's safety we are taking care to disinfect our space due to COVID-19. Free street parking on the road 24/7. Adult kids living at home are guest friendly :) Free high speed Wifi. Our place is good for couples, and solo travelers. Private home in a garden setting. Guest bedroom is downstairs on split level, with bathroom and shared living/dining/kitchen at ground floor level. Second shower and a bath available in upstairs bathroom if required. Double sofa bed, with the option of a single foam mattress on the floor for a third guest. A bit cramped in the room for 3 people with the foam mattress in place, but comfortable enough for a night's sleep on a short term stay. Been on a trampoline lately? You're never too old - invigorate those travel weary muscles and go for a bounce on the springless tramp outside! Grab a tea, coffee or chilled water and make yourself at home. Guests are welcome to use living/kitchen/dining areas which are shared spaces. Laundry is in garage via internal access. Clothesline outside on wooden deck which also has outdoor furniture, gas barbecue and trampoline for guests' enjoyment. If wanting to check in earlier than 6pm or for luggage drop off, please make contact at least a day in advance to arrange. Daytime we are generally busy with work or study, but someone will normally be home after 6pm weekdays. Happy to share our travel experiences and point guests in the right direction for travelling further afield. Our street in Western Springs is peaceful and quiet on the fringes of the CBD. Within half an hour's walking distance are Eden Park, Kingsland and Morningside cafes and bars, Western Springs park, MOTAT and Auckland Zoo. Morningside train station is a 10 min walk. Westfield St Lukes shopping centre is about 25 mins walk, or 5 mins by car. If traveling by bicycle, we have secure storage in the garage for bikes, with handy connection to the northwestern cycleway at the end of the street, linking to the national cycling path network. We are handy to public transport, with bus and train stops around a 10 minute walk. Local train station is Morningside on the western line. The train takes 5 stops and 25mins to get to Auckland Central. Airport is about 20 mins by taxi, or about 45 mins by door to door shared shuttle bus, or for cheapest option allow 1.5 hours for combination of Skybus/rail/walk. For private vehicles there is free parking on the street 24/7. Downtown CBD takes less than ten minutes in off-peak traffic. There are a multitude of beaches and coastal walks within half an hour's drive. Likewise many of Auckland's volcanic peaks are only a short drive away. Ferry terminal in downtown CBD opens up to the gulf islands including Rangitoto, vineyards at Waiheke island, and more beaches. Whatever your interests or needs for the purpose of your visit, we can point you in the right direction to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. As a service for guests we offer the option of a pickup from, or dropoff to, the airport after 6pm week nights Mon-Fri, or during weekends at reasonable hours by prior arrangement, for a nominal fee of NZ$20 each way. Please make your request at time of booking or at least a day in advance of arrival. And the property is fully fenced, so if you are traveling with a dog they will have their own enclosed exercise yard.
