Our cool and comfortable 2 bedrooms apartment has an incredible view over Lake Geneva, the vineyards of Lavaux (UNESCO world heritage) and the Alps. It has a garden. Only 45 min. from Geneva Airport, 25 min. from ski slopes, 2 hours from Zermatt. A cute flat for 4 people, with 2 bedrooms (2 beds in each), a dining room, a well equipped kitchen, a shower and a toilet, overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps, located in a vineyard in the heart of the Lavaux vineyard terraces, famous World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. Quiet situation. Just 10 minutes by car from Montreux (15 by train), 20 minutes from Lausanne, 45 minutes from Geneva airport, 2 hrs from Zermatt, 20 min from Lausanne and 20 min from the Alps. An ideal base camp for excursions in Switzerland. 5 minutes by foot and you reach the lakeshore where you can have nice swims in summertime. If you are more than 4 people, up to 6 people, you can rent both flats together. We also have a suite in the main building of our wine resort. Total : 8 beds dispatched in 3 different accomodations on the same resort. This flat is called "Côté Léman" and it's on the 1st floor of an old renewed house with 2 appartments for guests. This flat has 2 bedrooms with 2 beds in each room + a little dining room (a round table, 4 chairs) + a TV, which you can use as your office if you need a table to work. The flat has its own shower, bathroom-sink, WC, and its own kitchenette with table + 4 chairs. In the access hall to your flat, you will find a corner with a coffee machine and a kettle for our guests (this is included in the room price) + tea bags in self-service. Le Domaine du Burignon (name of our place) is a small paradise. You can lie on long-chairs in the garden, go for nice walks around our place without a car, have a glass of wine on the terrace. One thing is clear for all our visitors : it would be a pity to stay just for one night ! That's why the minimum stay is 2 nights. We have a baby-travel-bed you can borrow on request. WiFi, independent entrance, garden, terrace, you can buy and have a bottle of wine, since you are among winemakers. Pets not allowed. No smoking. On request, breakfast served in our reception hall or on its balcony in summer time. Price: 15.-/person. A rich breakfast with yogurts, eggs, different kinds of bread, butter, home made jam, local cheese and ham, fruit, fruit juice, milk, tea, coffee. One can have breakfast in the reception hall. The garden in front of the flats is for our guests. There is a coffee machine, a kettle and tea-bags always available for our guests. Coffee capsules are offered, cream and sugar of course also. It has a magnificent view on Lake Geneva, the Alps, France and the vineyards. The situation is quiet, in the middle of the countryside. The Chillon Castle is only 10 minutes away from here. In summertime, you can walk to the lake (5 min) and swim. A hop and you get to the beach of St-Saphorin Lavaux, or 15 minutes to reach the beach of Rivaz, the next village in the direction of Lausanne. The closest shop is in Vevey (10 minutes walk + 4 minutes train - one train every hour) or in Chexbres, that you can reach in 3 minutes by car. There are 3 restaurants accessible by foot in the area. One very fine and one very good and reasonable price in St-Saphorin Lavaux. And another quite famous italian restaurant is in the next village, 20 minutes walk from our place, in Rivaz. I will welcome you and give you advice about what to see in the close area, explain how the coffee machine works, tell you about how to join me if you need to, and how to go around by foot. There is a reduction pass coming with your room, for everything you'd like to visit in the area of Montreux-Vevey. Ask for it! If eventually I was not in the place, you'd receive all the useful information in advance per email, in order for you to find your accomodation by yourselves. Nice walks in the area, in a great landscape. You can also go by bike, or go with a stroller, because the paths made for winemakers, are made of concrete. If you like wine, we have different kinds. Just ask us for a bottle. You should not miss the Castle of Chillon, one of the jewels of the area. Close to that is the Freddy Mercury monument in Montreux, on the lakeshore. It is NOT necessary to have a car if you visit us. If you have a car, you can park it along the road in front of the main house of the wine resort. Free parking. Try to arrive with daylight, and take our GPS data. We'll give them to you per email. Otherwise, it is easy to take a train and arrive at the station of Vevey, where you'll take a taxi, that will drop you at Domaine du Burignon in about 5-10 min (for about 25.- chf.). If your luggage is not too big and heavy, I advise that you take a train to the station of St-Saphorin Lavaux, and climb up the hill to our place. No signs on the way. Just uphill and slightly to the right. You should see the house after 7 min. The path is incredibly beautiful (it's like taking off on a plane) and truly, on some parts, very steep. Any normal person in a normally good health can handle it however. And then you'll deserve your stay :-) After arrival, you can easily come and go by train to Vevey, Montreux, Lausanne, Genève or wherever. The train station is 10 min walk from our place. There's a train every hour in both directions (Lausanne and Montreux) from 6 am to midnight. It would be a pity to stay for only one night. That's what all of our guests say! Try to stay at least for 2 nights. There's so much to do in the close surroundings and to see in the area. If you don't walk easily or are somehow disabled with your leggs, this place might not be convenient to you. Lots of stairs, lots of slopes. This is Lavaux!
