Get away from it all and explore the delights of the Herefordshire countryside with the freedom of a self-catering holiday in our vacation cottage. Fully furnished for 4 adults, in two country-style bedrooms; 1 double and 2 singles, & plenty of space for off-road parking. Holly Lodge is equipped to English Tourist Board 3 Star standard, and is situated adjacent to Holly Tree Cottage which was built in the 18th century in the traditional Herefordshire half-timbered style. With plenty of off-road parking, this comfortably-furnished self-catering cottage offers great views and is centrally-located in the Herefordshire countryside for easy access to local towns and plenty of walking country The area has many attractions nearby, including the fascinating ‘black and white’ villages, the world-famous Mappa Mundi, the Wye Valley, and many gardens and properties open to the public. Excellent walking country can be found both locally among the hills and famous cider apple orchards, and on the Offa’s Dyke Long Distance Path along the Herefordshire and Welsh borders. Maps, walking books and details are all to be found in the Lodge. We love to make you feel welcome, and will chat about local amenities and special places for as long as you want! We offer a welcome pack and can always get food in for you if travelling from afar - just let us know in advance. It's beautiful open countryside around here, surrounded by fields of loveliness. At night you may hear the owls calling while you cook your evening meal, after a great day out sightseeing or walking. Buses run into the local towns a few times a day, and we can pick you up from the nearest train stations at Ledbury or Hereford if you wish, about 20 minutes away Minimum stay 5 nights. No smoking, children or pets - we are listed on allergy-free sites elsewhere. We cannot accept responsibility for children, as we have a pond and a tight turn on the stairs, which also might affect less-than mobile people in their trips to the downstairs bathroom at night.
