The Studio is in the gardens of Rose Cottage and is a self-contained studio in Devon's peaceful countryside surrounded by fields and only a short walk to the River Otter and 2 miles from the seaside at Budleigh Salterton. Own courtyard garden with sun chairs & bistro table & chairs. Use of large Hot Tub in Rose cottage garden with summerhouse and log burner-used by 4 other guests but not at the same time, open until 11pm every night!(subject to availability) The Studio has its own entrance and courtyard garden and is open plan apart from the bathroom. The views around the countryside are lovely, The bed can be 2 x 3 foot single beds or a super king 6 foot wide double. The Hot Tub is in the main garden, also you have use of the Summerhouse and log Burner and decking areas in the main garden Guests can also access the garden of Rose Cottage which may be shared with other guests The Hot Tub and decking area can be used by guests, also the summerhouse with log burner and large garden. Free car parking in our private car park , shops in Budleigh Salterton 2 miles away, local shop within walking distance , bus stop 10 minutes walk The Hosts live in the adjoining cottage and are available if required but will leave you to enjoy your private space. East Budleigh is the birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh and is full of chocolate box thatched cottages, we are between East Budleigh and Otterton, both can be reached on foot in 20 minutes or a couple of minutes in the car. Its only 2 miles from the sea, or about 45 minutes walk along the River Otter to the small town of Budleigh Salterton with its long promenade and beach with colourful pebbles. It is a short drive to the Regency seaside town of Sidmouth with its many cafes and independent shops and in the other direction the seaside town of Exmouth with its long sandy beaches. Only 12 miles away and pre-dating the arrival of the Romans in AD 50, Exeter’s history is rich and long with its unique Underground Passages, free Red Coat Guided Tours, magnificent Cathedral, imposing Roman wall and beautiful Quayside. Exeter is also home to the award-winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum where visitors can explore the city’s 2,000-year history under one roof! The Cottage is 20 minutes walk from the Otter Estuary Nature Reserve is a 57-acre ( (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) ) Local area is Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) consisting of tidal mudflats and saltmarsh. Abundant coastal and country and riverside walks, Buses from East Budleigh- about 10 minutes walk. Trains to Exmouth and Exeter. Can get a Taxi from Exmouth or Exeter Railway stations. We do have Parrots in the garden in aviaries, just don't put your fingers through the wire! They may make a noise at dawn & dusk, but are usually quite quiet at other times.
