Fluent english speaking host, always ready for questions with plenty of tips and local information. Parking on site included in the price. Mezzanine with single bed, suitable for a child at no extra charge (ceiling height is very low). Alarm on the piscine for your security. Smoking is accepted outside on the terrace or in the garden. The historical and Unesco listed village of St. Emilion is just 10 minutes drive away, definitely worth a visit. Access to internet via WIFI, no charge, and if need by, we can provide you with a internet cable to connect directly to your computer if you prefer, also free of charge. Access is very strong, we have a new internet box with Orange, one of the better companies, and the installation has recently been redone to ensure a strong signal. COOKING COURSE - For a minimum of 3 people and maximum of 8, DAILY cooking courses with an excellent local professional chef. Example of a typical day 9h30 (after your breakfast served in your appartment) head out to the local market to pick up supplies for the lunch and dinner meal. Tips on buying local produce. Coffee in the market square. 11h Return to the house to prepare the lunch meal, such as papillotes de veau, piperade basque, lasagne au salmon, followed by Tarte Tatin, Clafoutis etc. 12h30 to 14h - Lunch together at the family table eating your prepared meal. 14h - 16h - Private time, either sieste in your appartment, bike ride on the bicycle path, sauna or jacuzzi. 16h - 18h30 - Cooking course, to prepare the evening meal, such as Blanquette de veau, Magret de Canard - the list is endless, plus a dessert, macarons, cannelles Bordeaux. 19h -> Enjoy your meal either in your appartement or at the family table. SAUNA JACUZZI (a fee unless your reservation is part of a special offer) I try always to be here when guests arrive, in very rare occasions when I am away I will have a friend or a neighbour to greet you. I live on the property, but am very discreet, I can be there as much or as little as you like. There is a bell at the front gate, if ever you need anything and don't see me around, ring, and I can come and see you. I am at home the majority of the time! Our village is very small, only 12 houses, and most of our neighbours are involved in the wine industry. We are surrounded by vineyards and the nicest thing about our village is the peace and quiet and the sound of the birds singing! There are 2 buses that go to either Branne, 7 kms or Targon 7kms (I can come and pick you up free of charge from the bus stop) that leave from Bordeaux. Otherwise, there is a train from Bordeaux that goes to Saint Emilion, nice to arrive in Saint Emilion and do a walk around, lunch, and then I can come and pick you up too. It is advisable to have a car, but if not, I can lend you bikes and you can get to chateauxs, restaurants, shops from the bicycle path located 500 metres from the house.
