It is a 90 min drive from the CBD of Melbourne and directly opposite the V Line station, TRAFALGAR. Not suitable for children. Ooh Lah Lah started life as The National Bank of Australia, circa 1898. It has been lovingly brought to life as West Gippsland’s newest boutique airbnb. It is fitted throughout to evoke feelings of Grandeur European Holidays, Lazy Sundays in bed, Adventures discovered in the pages of great novels. The entrance foyer is your own private oasis, for pre dinner drinks or a fun game of Twister or Hookey. It sets the scene to encourage you to leave all your everyday worries and stress at the front door. There are two bicycles provided for local recreational sightseeing or a leisurely ride into the neighbouring tourist town of Yarragon. The Stairwell nook is furnished with a single day bed and trundle. The design here is verdigris with bold colour accents. The main bedroom is worthy of Queens and Kings alike. An impressive four-poster bed is the main feature of the French baroque inspired atmosphere and is fitted with luxurious linens and quality fittings. The second bedroom has its own unique style, featuring a queen-size bed dressed in fine linen and a collection of artwork. The kitchen is fully functional with toaster, kettle, microwave, full sized fridge and gas oven. The lounge is reminiscent of old world libraries and Gentlemen’s Clubs with a Smart TV and Free Wi Fi. The town backs onto the foothills of the beautiful Strzelecki ranges.   It is a direct 90 minute route from Melbourne CBD, straight down the M1.   Situated on the main street of Trafalgar opposite the v-line station, Ooh Lah Lah is walking distance from a supermarket and local restaurants. “The town has all the luxuries you need, combined with all the charm of a country town”.   You can stay in and immerse yourself in the experience that is Ooh Lah Lah or enjoy many of the local sights and attractions.   Trafalgar is the home of the Trafalgar Holden Museum. The only collection of this size in Australia, it tells the complete story of the Holden brand.   For lovers of great wine, this area has some beautiful wineries to try out including Brandy Creek and Wild Dog. Perhaps a round of golf? Trafalgar Golf Club is regarded as one of the best country courses in Victoria and provides a true test of golf in a stunning natural environment.   Only a short 5 minute drive from the quaint tourist hub of Yarragon, where you will find a range of vintage markets and antique sellers, organic food growers and boutique stores.   To compliment Ooh Lah Lah’s grand luxury how about treat yourself to the ultimate relaxation getaway at Brandy Creek Day Spa (30 minute drive).   If it’s fishing, boating or kayaking that takes your fancy then you can’t go past Blue Rock Lake. Located in the rural farming township of Willow Grove (10 minute drive). Experience life as it was in historic Walhalla. Walk through the lovingly restored centre full of heritage buildings, try your hand at panning for gold, or take a tour of the surrounding area (1 hour drive)   During the winter seasons (May – October) Ooh Lah Lah is within a 90 minute drive to the popular snow towns of Mt Baw Baw and Mt St. Gwinear. Ooh Lah Lah is located 100 meters from Trafalgar station making it easily accessible by V-line. If arriving by car, all day parking is available at the rear of the building, please refer to signage.
