Morecambe train station is an 8 minute walk away with direct links to Lancaster train station which will take you everywhere from the Lakes to London. There are also excellent bus routes nearby. Just steps away from the property are Morecambe's amenities including restaurants, ice cream bars, cafes, pubs, arcades, bowling alley, cinema, shops and not to mention Morecambe's best sandy beach. Whilst you're here you must visit the Eric Morecambe Statue (5 min walk), the Midland Hotel (11 min walk) and Morecambe's Stone Jetty (11 min walk). Morecambe's promenade is 4.2 miles long and is perfect for a cycle or long leisurely walk (cycles can be stored safely in the secure yard at Mona House). The lakes are within easy driving distance, with Windermere only 40 mins drive away. Morecambe is a bustling seaside town, with plenty to see and do for all the family. If you fancy venturing out you could visit the charming and historic Heysham village, an 8 min drive or 2.8 mile walk away, with views overlooking Morecambe and the ruins of St Patricks Chapel. The medieval city of Lancaster is 1 stop on the train or a 12 min drive away, home to Lancaster Castle, Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park, lots of shops, bars and restaurants and two universities.
