The Hive, En suite king room in South Zeal

The Hive is a lovely spacious king size room with an en suite shower and kitchenette area. There is a private outdoor seating area with fairy lights and bbq for those warmer evenings. This idyllic setting is perfect for couples or singletons who want to explore Dartmoor. With a selection of pubs and beautiful moorland on your doorstep, you will not be disappointed. Spacious room with king size bed, tub chairs, TV, wardrobe. There Is room for a pet bed or travel cot for small ones next to the wardrobe. There is a private entrance with your own outdoor seating area, fairy lights and a bbq for warmer evenings. We will provide 1 light the bag coal for the bbq. When you enter the front door there is a small utility with a washing machine, worktop, fridge, kettle, toaster, tea, coffee, sugar, cutlery, salt, pepper, plates, glasses, bowls and washing up equipment. Nearby take aways are available to bring back to the hive. In the en-suite you have a shower, toilet and basin as well as cupboard space and shelving for your toiletries. Clean towels are provided. Free parking on our street is available at all times. I live at Senlac which is next to the hive. I like to offer self check in to give guests a bit of privacy and relaxation on arrival. However I am around and available during your stay for if you need anything 😄 South Zeal is a beautiful small village located on Dartmoor. There are a selection of pubs on the doorstep which offer a range of eat in and take away food from pub grub to a sit down romantic meal. The Kings Arms Inn is a 2 minute walk from the hive and offers delicious eat in or take away food. The Oxenham Arms is a 5 minute walk from the Hive and offers 3 course dining. South zeal has a lovely village shop called ‘The stores’ which is a five minute walk from the hive. The Taw river Inn, The Devonshire Inn and sticklepath stores are located in the neighbouring village, Sticklepath which is only a short 5-10 minute walk away. These 2 pubs offer character as well as good food. The sticklepath stores offers tasty breakfasts as well as other treats. The newly re opened Seven stars pub is located in the neighbouring village ‘South Tawton’, this lovely little pub is worth a visit. The Tors Inn is located in Belstone which is around a 3 mile beautiful moorland walk from the Hive and offers delicious burgers with a view of the moor. The town of Okehampton is only 4 miles away with more eating options and many take away options as well as a selection of shops. The bathroom tap is drinking water. Please do not park in front of our gate as it is in constant use. Please park on the opposite side of the road. Parking is free along the street. We allow pets at the hive and a double pet drink/ food bowl is in the kitchenette.
