Daffodil Cottage gateway to Dartmoor Devon

This newly refurbished Dartmoor miner's cottage is situated in the Devon village of South Zeal The cottage can sleep up to six people in three bedrooms, with a family (Website hidden by Airbnb) the ground floor is a sitting room ,a wood burning stove, dining area, the kitchen is well appointed. a detached garden bbq, heater, garden furniture. There is a travel cot available however no mattress or bedding is provided due to allergies. *** new 6ft solid wooden fencing and gates installed for reactive dogs *** Wifi, free internet, 43" smart TV, Sat box, Dishwasher , fridge freezer, washer dryer, high chair, travel cot (no mattress or bedding provided) childrens plastic bowls /plates, cup, spoons,Iron, Ironining board , hair dryer, towels , bedding, Initial tea, coffee, milk, sugar, dishwasher tablets and washing tablets ,salt and pepper, kindling a basket of logs ( Happy to set the fire depending on your arrival time) South Zeal is a friendly village in walking distance of Dartmoor your dogs will love the walking !! Two dog friendly pubs a short distance from the cottage, a well equipped village shop/post office. There are many accessible cycle paths from daffodil cottage including the Granite way, you can hire bikes from Devon Cycle Hire. Fancy wild swimming Shilley Pool a short walk from the cottage or I personally love to wild swim at Cullever steps Belstone. There is a play area for the children with a skateboard park, Tennis is also available in walking distance (booking fees apply, rackets not supplied) , Golf, a Gym and an indoor swimming pool a short drive away. maximum of four medium/large sized dogs (labrador or smaller, more dog’s accepted by prior arrangement please contact me ) due to the size of the cottage, There is a charge of £25 for one dog and £20 there after to cover cleaning payable prior to departure. Fully secure garden 6ft high solid fencing and gates, Please note gravel area outside the kitchen door is a right of way to the wood store, bins and garden it is not part of daffodil cottage thank you!! The whole of the cottage and a private enclosed detached garden. Please do not leave your dog(s) unattended in the cottage and not allow them upstairs or on the furniture, I would also recommend treating your dog(s) for ticks and fleas. Key safe for entry located on the side door (kitchen), code will be provided prior to arrival, however I am happy to pop over if needed to show how the wood burning stove works or anything your unsure of. Please note the bathroom is on the second floor so may not suit people with mobility issues. Direct access to the moor from the cottage, wild swimming pool a short walk away. Dartmoor is the reason we moved here you can walk for as long as you want too, wild swim and space !!! Lots of it This is a village I highly advise that you will need a car to get around, However there is a bus stop opposite daffodil Cottage which can take you in to Okehampton or Exeter stopping at various villages on route. The Okehampton train line has reopened which gives an easy journey into Exeter for minimum charge. Maximum of four (more by prior arrangement) well behaved dogs , however please contact me to confirm size and if you are bringing dogs so I can make arrangements prior to your arrival.The cost of the dog stays goes to various dog charities. So far for 2021 Daffodil cottage has donated £1700 up to October 21 and it will increase thank you !
