Lost horizon
Our cosy home is less than 10 minutes walk to Carrum beach, Patterson river, Carrum train station and ALDI supermarket. It is spacious with plenty of room to lounge around and a big backyard. Sorry we can't accomodate for guests who don't like dogs and want to cook meat. A simple, clean and private bedroom on the outskirts of Melbourne. The room is cosy with a futon with queen-size mattress. The floor has a colourful rug to keep your feet warm. There is some storage space. We have provided you with a heater if you get cold (very likely in Melbourne). You can use the open plan kitchen to make your meals if you want to. We will provide you some space to store your groceries in the cupboard and fridge. We provide complimentary tea and coffee. You are welcome to relax in the lounge, use the TV, watch the millions of DVDs available and enjoy the wood fire heater. We both work full-time in the city. We enjoy travelling, camping, bushwalking, cooking and eating different cuisines, listening to music and meeting new people. Street parking available. Guests have access to kitchen, lounge, toilet, bathroom, laundry and outdoor areas. We will try our best to meet you and show you around the house. If not we will organise for someone to meet you. We both work 9-5 weekdays, go for trainings and volunteer twice a week in evenings, hence you will be on your own most times. However, we would love to chat with you and share stories over a meal or a tea/coffee whenever we are around. We are always happy to recommend places to eat and visit. It is a quiet residential neighbourhood. Less than 10 minutes walk to Carrum Station, Carrum beach, Patterson river and ALDI supermarket. 5 minutes walk to Carrum Roy Reserve which also has a nice walking and bike track. Our home is 40 minutes drive from the Melbourne CBD (using either freeway or toll-way). It takes 55 minutes to get to CBD on a train. 10 minute walk from the train station to home. From the airport you can take the Airport Shuttle to Southern Cross Station. Then take the Frankston train towards Frankston and get off at Carrum station. From our home, it is an hour and a half drive to Phillip Island and 50 minutes drive to Sorrento from where you can take a ferry across to Queenscliff. 20 min drive will take you to Dandenong, one of the multicultural hub of Melbourne. Lots of great food from around the world and cheap. 20 min drive will take you to Springvale a hub for Vietnamese and Cambodian community. Great place to buy cheap and fresh vegetables and fruits plus lots of cheap places to eat. We have two active puppies. We are both vegetarians and don't smoke. The only meat in the house is for the puppies. We are happy for guests to use the internet.
