Derwen Cottage

The stylish newly built but quaint cottage sleeps 2-4, is spacious and comfortable with everything needed in a home from home. Beautiful countryside views can be enjoyed from the lounge and bedroom. The large south facing patio and enclosed garden leads to a lush meadow for stunning sea and mountain views. Close to Aberystwyth yet enjoying a peaceful and stunning location the setting is open countryside with delightful wildlife all around. A Stream nearby adds to the charm of the place. Derwen (Oak) Cottage is a detached cottage located on a 14 acre small-holding where wild-life is encouraged. The nearby stream is a magnet for a variety of birds and wildlife - rabbits, hares, moles, wood-peckers, Red Kites and many more varieties of birds. Some pets are allowed to stay but dependant on age and breed. The enclosed patio and garden leads into the meadow and a path leads up to the meadow gate where the stunning Cardigan Bay and Cambrian Mountains can be viewed. Parking is available at the front of the cottage by the steps and away from the main road. I live nearby and while I fully respect visitors' privacy I am usually available should you need any help or guidance. My aim is to ensure visitors' stay is as enjoyable as possible. A long lane from the B4340 means traffic noise and disturbance is minimal. Neighbours are sufficiently distanced and also enjoy the peaceful and tranquil area. A car is recommended as there are so many amenities in the region to enjoy. Aberystwyth, with a train and bus station is only a 5 minute drive away. A bus T21 passes the end of the lane regularly The location is truly full of delights but if the weather is wet a pair of wellies or boots is recommended. Amazing distant views can be enjoyed from the top of the 10 acre meadow.
