Peaceful Tuscan retreat

Breathtaking views await you in the beautiful medieval village of Orciatico . Completely surrounded by nature this is a unique opportunity to experience living like an Italian. Florence, Pisa, Sienna, Volterra and the coast are easily reached within an hour and what better than to spend a day in the city then return to tranquility. Please note there is no wifi in apartment. Plenty of free parking invillage. The apartment is located just off the piazza. The bar {where free wifi is available} is immediately opposite the apartment and drinks vary from l to 3 euro, usually not more. Plenty of free parking within the village. Within the apartment there is a wall safe, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, full oven and hob. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided. All bed linen and towels included. Large range of DVDs, CDs. books and games. Plenty of local tourist information This is a typical small Italian village with only one shop, one bar . The nearest large supermarket is about 10 kms. There are more smaller shops in Lajatico which is 5 kms. All areas of the apartment are available to guests as are all areas within the village. I will be available at any time to help and assist in any way I can. This area is a very unique part of Tuscany with prices well below average for bars and restaurants. The scenery is breathtaking and walkers will have some great experiences. The village is seeped in history with the tower dating back to 650AD. The coast is only 40 minutes drive and Pisa, Florence and Sienna roughly one hour. Volterra 20 minutes. A very central and peaceful location to explore this area of Tuscany. CAR ESSENTIAL HERE NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT The train station is 30 minutes away at Pontedera where you can park very cheaply and get the train to Pisa, Florence and many other destinations. Rail travel is not expensive and for visiting the large cities saves parking problems and heavy parking fees. Guests must pay 1 euro per person per night city tax. Payable on arrival. Car essential. The local shop is open from 8 a.m. until l p.m. and 5.30p.m. until 8 p.m. Closed on Wednesday afternoon and all day Sunday. This is a small Italian village with only 200 residents and although slightly isolated all main places are very easy to reach by car. No internet in apartment.
