With direct access from the Farm onto the Heath, you will find many rare species of birds and some fantastic walks making it an ideal spot for nature lovers. The comfortable accommodation gives spacious rooms and an abundance of charm. All linen and towels are provided. The Gatehouse is our latest development and is an open plan kitchen living area with a division for the bedroom. The sitting area has a log burner and is well furnished with a comfy sofa, flat screen TV, DVD player and a cosy dining area. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with an oven, a hob, a microwave and fridge. The bathroom has a heated towel rail and power shower. There is parking to two cars on the private drive way, a garden with a patio area, a rotary washing line, and a table and chairs. In a separate utility room you will find clothes washing facilities including a washing machine, tumble dryer and access to a freezer. We have a purpose built boules court. I have lived in Dorset most of my life and actually lived at Nutley farm as a child until it was compulsory purchased by a Government Organisation in 1960. Sadly the Farm was totally neglected and fell into a state of total disrepair. In 2001 we were lucky enough to be able to buy back Nutley and thereby began the project to bring it forward to the beautiful very special place it has become. It is now hoped that Nutley will pass on to future generations of my family. My daughter Lucie is already an essential part of the Nutley team. It is lovely to be able to welcome guests and share all there is to offer from carriage drives with ‘Ipon’ to walking with the Alpacas. The surrounding area and magical coastline is wonderful to explore. My mission is to help every visitor feel the benefit and relaxation from the Nutley experience. Over the last ten years we have proved this by the number of people who return every year The Cottages are set on Nutley Farm small-holding on Tadnol Heath Nature Reserve, near the quaint village of Winfrith Newburgh with it’s award winning traditional village shop. Tadnol Heath is an internationally important heathland and wetland is an iconic piece of Dorset landscape, divided by the Tadnoll Brook, a chalk stream tributary of the River Frome, and including part of Thomas Hardy's Egdon Heath. Home to a host of wildlife, including a number of rare heathland species. The nearest train station is in Moreton. You will need to get a taxi from the station to Nutley Farm.
