Belvis Maison with a view

In the peaceful village of Belvis on the Plateau de Sault, surrounded by extraordinary views of the Pyrenees, this beautifully decorated village house is an ideal retreat for those looking for complete peace and quiet. Or for outdoors enthusiasts there are a wide variety of summer and winter sports on offer including skiing just 20 minutes away in Camurac, and hiking and mountain biking trails on your doorstep. The spacious living room, enormous kitchen-diner with huge farmhouse table, and terrace make this a great house for convivial eating, drinking and making merry! The house will comfortably sleep 10 (3 double bedrooms with additional single in one room, one triple room with bunk bed and single, plus sofa bed and two cot-beds). There are also 2 high chairs provided. Belvis is a very rustic village and there are plenty of places to explore in the surrounding area, including medieval towns such as Mirepoix with its bustling market every Monday morning, and the swimming lakes at Puivert, Belcaire and Quillan to enjoy in the summer. Or you can simply relax with a glass of wine on the terrace, taking in the magnificent views as the sun sets. If outdoor sports are your thing then Belvis is home to a number of great hiking and mountain biking routes (see (Website hidden by Airbnb) The surrounding area offers a host of sports including road cycling (the Tour de France came through Quillian and finished in Ax-les-Thermes (Bonascre) in 2013 when Chris Froome first took the yellow jersey in his first tour victory), rock climbing, white water rafting, canyoning, caving, paddle boarding, high ropes, horse riding, fishing, sailing, and swimming.
