This is a place where the waves of the Arabian sea thunders the border of the property on the west and tranquil shores of the Vembanad lake laps the eastern border. There are very few locations where the sea and back water are so close to the property. This provides the calmness of the back waters for rest and recouperation or the challenges of the sea for the outgoing while a full time caretaker looks after all your needs. Guests can book either 2 bed unit or connected 4 bed unit on choice. The price is half for each unit. Each unit is designed to be totally independent of each other on demand. Care taker is able to provide excellent sea food at an affordable cost on request. For those who want to be connected you can access a high speed free internet. Taxi can be arranged by the care taker on short notice. There is also regular public bus service to the beach from Paravur town which is only 5 Km away. It is an ideal place for Swimming and bird-watching: The crystal clear waters around Cherai Beach is ideally suited for snorkeling and surfing. Sea birds of different types is a treat for bird watchers. In most days Dolphins can be seen frolicking in the surf. Cherai’s backwaters which constitute a network of lakes, lagoons, canals and estuaries are home to a wide variety of freshwater flora and fauna. Additional tours can be arranged to nearby destinations and trip on house boat for those who are keen to see around. Please make sure that small children are taken care and not let out alone in the compound which has a fish tank. Even though the sea is very calm during peak seasons, it can be rough and dangerous during rainy season. Please ask care taker about safety before swimming in the sea.
