Nannerth Ganol, artists retreat cottage

Nannerth Ganol is an old farm with a 16 century Welsh Longhouse. On our site we have the cottage, barn plus a permaculture garden. The accommodation is now busy with cyclists and walkers. You can head into the Elan Valley and surrounding area directly from our location. It has hosted people from the music industry who have come here to write/record . We are very isolated , so perfect if you want to get away from everything. You can relax/create or go explore. I also offer great food. This rental is for The Cottage., which is its own self contained building. The site is up farm tracks, so no Ferraris. I do food, so hand made pizzas can be ordered and home made sough-dough bread. Breakfasts can be requested served in the main building. We often cater for music producers coming here to use our studio. We are perfect location for walks, cycling (a big hit here), drives to the sea via the Aberystwyth Mountain Road which has been voted one of the most beautiful drives in the world...or Elan Valley reservoirs. If you are coming to be creative we can help in many ways . There is space for Yoga and Meditation. We can help with creative projects especially with music and film industries. Or if you just want to get away to chill .... this is the place.. Expect rural narrow roads and farm tracks. Most people have no problem. Many get here and don't need a car , they can walk and cycle direct from the cottage.. I am always here to help as I work in the studio , garden and kitchen. We have plans of walks you can go on from here. Trips to the sea for either walking or boat trips to see dolphins. We have spectacular lakes and reservoirs . Forest walks, off-road 4X4 trails and plenty of cycle routes. Bike hire is in Rhayader. There is a lovely old pub and late night local shops for supplies. Dark sky status for star gazing. Or just chill in the cottage and garden, read, relax, eat good food . We have board games, vinyl and DVDs If you want to get here by public transport you will have to contact us as car pickups and taxis will have to be organised. People have asked for a price guide on food: I have been doing my organic sour-dough hand made pizzas for £10 each. Large organic sour-dough loaves have been going out at £4.50 Healthy full cooked breakfasts have been doing for £10 per head. Evening meals at request.
