Situated in a quiet corner of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, half an hour’s drive from Glasgow Airport, Tamnavoulin has 2 comfortable ensuite guest rooms with great views. Loch Lomond is 8 minutes' drive away, as is is the pleasant seaside town of Helensburgh with a good selection of restaurants. We have rebuilt this 200 year old house and look forward to welcoming you, providing a tasty Scottish breakfast and advice on hiking and sightseeing in the Highlands if you need it. COVID-19 Update: To ensure the health and safety of our guests, your room will have been deep cleaned – all surfaces and touch points are cleaned with soap and water and sanitised. Extra cleaning supplies will provided in your bedroom and there will be hand sanitiser near the entrance. This is the guest entrance which is shared with one other room. We have made the decision to serve breakfast in your room (a tray will be left outside for you). Please keep a 2m distance from us and from the other guests if the other room is occupied. This is a unique location with a remote feel and yet close to nearby amenities. We live off-grid and are proving that you can generate most of your electricity and hot water from renewables - even in the cloudy West of Scotland! You'll have your own room with comfortable bed (we can make them up as either twin or super king), armchairs - and an ensuite shower room. Delighted to chat to you about anything at all and offer advice on the local area or your further travels in Scotland. This is somewhere for people who want a quiet, rural, scenic location - 8 minutes away from the A82, the main highway up the West Coast. There's a good selection of restaurants and shops in Helensburgh, also 8 minutes away by car. We have plenty of car parking. There's no public transport but you could get a taxi up here from Helensburgh. It would take an hour to walk from Helensburgh Central Station; less from Helensburgh Upper Station. Please note that unfortunately we do not have fridge space or kitchen facilities available for guests.
