Very clean 3 bedroom (4 beds), 2 full bathroom non smoking home in beautiful country setting on an acre. Just a 10 minute drive to Uptown Athens & Ohio University. House comfortably sleeps 4-6 people (3 queen beds & a full size futon). Enjoy a self serve breakfast, wrap around deck and easy access to Hwy 33. There are two wineries very close and you will love the beautiful country views and rolling hills of SE Ohio! Perfect for a weekend getaway with your sweetie or a visit to Athens or OU! Our cozy home is about 1500 square feet with hardwood floors throughout. The house is non-smoking and pet free. It's located on about an acre of land. It's country living at it's best but just a few miles from Uptown Athens, home of Ohio University. The wrap around deck is a great place to have your morning coffee, throw down a yoga mat or endeavor in bird and wildlife watching. We have a full kitchen and will provide some breakfast items, snacks & coffee/tea! Because this home is located in the country we do on occasion have wildlife and insects. Don't be surprised if you see a deer in the backyard or a beautiful hawk perched in a tree! We live on the property in a separate unit. Guests have access to the entire house. There are 3 bedrooms (3 queen size beds and a full size futon), large closets in each room, 2 large full bathrooms (one with a tub/shower, one with just a shower), a full kitchen (appliances include refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster & range) dining room, living room and laundry room. The wrap around deck has seating both in the front and the back of the house. We have 2-3 parking spaces available. There are multiple raised garden beds with perennial herbs, blueberries and various fruits available, as is season. Help yourself to some fresh dill, basil or thyme! We live on the property in a separate unit above the garage. We have our own entrance, parking and deck. We are sometimes outside mowing or working in the gardens but we do respect our guests privacy. We may recommend a restaurant or other activities, but otherwise we will not be interacting with guests. We do require quiet hours from 10pm-6am. Private, rolling hills, country setting, quiet neighbors, close to Hwy 33 and Ohio University. The Pleasant Hill Winery is less than a mile from the house. Shade Winery is about 5 miles (they have a brand new kitchen too). We are close to Strouds Run, Sells Park, Zaleski State Forest, Fox Lake & Lake Hope. It's a nature lovers paradise with endless trails to hike, Hockhocking Adena Bikepath & many locally owned restaurants, breweries & shops all within a few miles. The house is conveniently located just outside of the City of Athens and one mile from US 33. There are two great cab companies in Athens- Green Can (locally owned) and Lyft. We do have high speed internet available. There is also a good cell phone signal (both Verizon & AT&T, possibly others). We do provide a 40 inch smart TV (connected to WiFi with some apps available) located in the living room. At this time we do not have Cable or local channels available. We do however provide Netflix access!
