Hackland Retreat

Lovely appointed rooms in a sixteenth century country home. Two rooms - one double, one twin - with a private sitting room and private bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast made from local ingredients included. Once booked, the guest area will be your exclusive space and will not be available to anyone else. The guest wing at Hackland Retreat is part of the country house but is closed off for privacy. Entrance is through the country house only. Meals can be taken in the family dining room and terrestrial TV viewed in a communal lounge area. The guest wing has its own small lounge area with internet access but not television. Breakfast is included with the rate and a simple home cooking meal is available in the evening if required. These will be taken with me. We live in a farming area - there are often tractors on the road and sheep and cows grazing in fields nearby. We support cattle on our four acres during the summer and have resident ducks on our pond. We have a lively and happy bird population. There are nice walks near the house on country lanes and we are near Killerton Estate. There is no public transport near our home. We are 3 miles from the M5, 15 miles from Exeter Airport and approx the same from Tiverton Parkway and Honiton Train Stations. Taxis are available at all these points. Bus transport is available in Cullompton which is 5 miles away. Entrance to the property is narrow - between two buildings at present.
