The Summerhouse - A place to unwind from exploring

My home from home is the perfect retreat to escape from the everyday pressures. The space is modern light and airy yet comfortable and homely. It is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy time out from Life. Full-size oven and built in fridge freezer and microwave. A fabulous power shower to kick start your morning followed by breakfast Al fresco on the decking. Beds are comfortable as is the lounge area. Stargaze at night on a lounger and wish on the shooting stars that fall. It's light airy and is a sun trap from early morning til the sun goes down. I recommend an early morning or evening stroll round the beautiful Loch where you can sit and watch the swans and ducks and even the elusive otters. If your lucky, the Swans and the cignets sometimes come by for a morning or evening feed. (I have footage of this) There is space for 2 cars private to the accommodation. The plot of grass and decking is for your sole use Guests can contact me by phone or email. If you need more hands on help. Contact me first and if required I can organise close friends or family on site that can come and assist if needs be. it's a beautiful place and has a lovely community of friendly folks. My neighbours are a mix of family and friends. What I love is how close it is to the nearby bustling market town of Moffat. Moffat is a sparkling jewel amidst the lush green hills of Galloway. The town itself is vibrant and lively yet small and welcoming. It's a charming little town with lots of small independent shops from the traditional greengrocer and local butchers to curiosity gift shops and boutiques. There is a plethora of places to eat out and the choices of eateries is huge from the humble but quality cafe to the sterling evening meal. Takeaways are also of great quality from traditional fish n chips to pizza and Indian and Chinese. I've samples them all and are all of a very high standard. Moffat also hosts monthly Farmer Markets and these play homage to homegrown cuisine and arts and crafts and jewellery. The pub scene is superb as well. people are just so friendly in this neck of the woods. If I wasn't working full-time and didn't have to, I would move here in a heart beat. life is slower and simpler here and you will enjoy shopping, walking, eating and drinking here. There are numerous ways to get around. There are nearby bike hire places which offers you the freedom to explore the abundant and plentiful not to mention stunningly beautiful cycle paths. If you're a walker like me, you will absolutely love the forestry trails, Riverside/Hillside walks/climbs and community reserve walks in nearby proximity to the site. I like to take short drives to nearby lochs castles and forestry walks to explore. This site truly is at the heart of the beautiful rolling hills of the Dumfries and Galloway area. There is so much to explore. There are fantastic taxi services offering door to door links to the nearby Market town of Moffat and Lockerbie. Aside from that there are also brilliant bus services to Dumfries and local shuttle buses from Moffat to Beattock and surrounding areas. In a Nutshell. there is plenty to explore on the doorstep. But equally the connections are there if you want to delve deeper into the Dumfries and Galloway areas. If you are looking for a place to unwind and love to explore the outdoors and enjoy nature. This is the spot for you. I have loved having this place to myself the last 2 years. I want to share my space with you and hope that you enjoy this place of retreat as much as I have over the last 2 years. I have been blown away by this area of Scotland. The local community are so welcoming and friendly and cannot do enough for you. You can drive 15 minutes in any direction and find yourself in a beautiful little neuk to explore.
