La Quercia is a two floor Tuscan villa near the coast and surrounded by abundant plants providing shade. The property consists of 4 villas, one of which can be converted into a larger villa through an adjoining door. It is possible to walk to the village, Sassetta, from La Quercia. The property La Quercia is located approximately 16km from the Tuscan coast with the beautiful sandy beaches of Marina di Castagneto - Donoratico. Immediately next to the villa there is a wonderful fenced pool surrounded by a sundeck of terracotta. There are some views to one side over the tree and rooftops that live below the estate. The pool is shared by the three villas and a larger one that overlooks it. The small village of Sassetta is local Tuscan health resort, famous for it's pleasant climate and spa baths (Terme di Sasseta). A short distance away from La Quercia is typical Tuscan restaurant. Around the property are oretty chestnut woods, ideal for walking or just relaxing in the cool shade. All villas of La Quercia have access to a private, fenced and untouched sand dune beach area which is located 16km away, North of Marina di Castagneto, Donoratico. The area is a natural coastal botanical garden which guests have access to. Here guests can use the simple picnic tables and chairs, as well as a shower. The owners can also provide beach umbrellas to take to the area. The property La Quercia is composed of 3 apartments, two of which can be converted by means of a connecting door, into a larger apartment on the ground floor, (Erica + Fresia = Gardenia), and Villa Il Castagno. Il Castagno is a villa with a shared pool within the property La Quercia, located within 16km from the Tuscan coastline and beaches. Il Castagno is a two-storey independent Tuscan villa right next to the pool area and belongs to the estate La Quercia, which includes another house with three apartments. It has 2 terraces, one of which offers a lot of privacy. Outside the villa, overlooking the pool is a terrace furnished with a couple of cushioned chairs and a two person iron chair to relax. To one side is a small dining table with 3 chairs shaded by an umbrella. Inside the villa is a bright room with two day beds to seat 4 people. The open plan room has plenty of light due to the double glass doors on either side and windows all around. In a corner is a staircase to the first floor and bedrooms, under this is a guest toilet with washing machine. The long, wooden dining table surrounded by 14 chairs lies in the middle of the room. To one side are two antique sideboards while on the other is a lovely, travertine fireplace for the cooler nights. To one side, behind the dining table, is a well equipped kitchen which includes an oven with gas hobs, dishwasher and a fridge with separate freezer compartment. There is limited counter space for working however extra space is provided by a breakfast table with bench in a corner of the room. At the head of the dining table, and next to the kitchen is a door leading out to a large paved terrace. This is furnished with a wonderful shaded table of travertine, surrounded by six chairs and two benches all cushioned for maximum comfort. On the first floor there is a sitting area with two single armchairs at the top of the stairs. Double glass doors provide plenty of light and lead out onto a balcony from which there is a lovely view over the pool. The first of the bedrooms is to the right immediately at the top of the stairs. It is a bright double room decorated in yellow with a wooden wardrobe, chest of drawers and a comfortable daybed set up as a double sofa in a corner. En-suite is a bathroom with shower. Next to this is the second double bedroom decorated in a pastel blue. In a corner is an armchair while a four door wardrobe runs along one of the walls. En-suite is a bathroom with shower. Double doors lead out to a narrow balcony. The final bedroom is a double room with an en-suite bathroom with shower. This room canbe made into a twin if required. The room is decorated in a beige colour which is set off by the pale brown tiles on the floor and the dark wooden wardrobe. A daybed set up as a comfortable double sofa. Doors lead out a balcony which looks out to the pretty views of the hills beyond the property. From some of the villa windows there are pretty views of the surrounding hills, others overlook the neighbouring properties roof tops and the pool. The entire villa is fenced. 3 double bedrooms, 2 of which can be set up as twin rooms on request when booking. Note that the daybeds cannot be used as extra beds. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.
