If you can tear yourself away from the house and its great facilities, visit the pretty town of Coulonges (4kms) which has all facilities including supermarket and 11kms away at Chassenon is the beach lake complex. There are also plenty of watersports at nearby Mervent and try to visit historic La Rochelle or one of the lovely sandy beaches, all within 80km or Puy du Fou historic them park, a must-see in the region.
