Beautiful farmhouse

We love to share our charming and characteristic 300 years old farmhouse. The tastefully decorated farmhouse with superb pool is situated in a beautiful setting with fantastic 360 degrees views. In summer our guests can enjoy freely the various fruits from the trees on the land (4 ha). Only 30 minutes from Bergerac airport our house is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills covered with sunflowers in summer and with numerous medieval villages, wine estates and several golf courses nearby. Our carefully restored farmhouse and its beautiful pool and terraces are located on a 40 acres private farm estate with magnificant 360 degrees views on the rolling hills. The property is totally private but not isolated being accessed via a 200 meter long country lane yet only 3 minutes from the nearest town Monbahus with a bakery and grocery store. An 10m x 5m swimming pool offers all day sunshine on the edge of open fields and bordering the terrace offering full safety and peace of mind for children. You may just want to sit and watch the sun go down from the terrace. It's often said by our guests that the view is their most favorite, anywhere in the world. Deer can often be seen in the fields and if you're really lucky you might get sight of a wild boar. Guests are free to roam around on the property, watch the birds and stars at night, play ball games or picnic. However beyond our land is endless space for walking and cycling. If you don't like total peace and quiet then our farm is not for you. However, if you like peace and quiet and the beautiful countryside then this is the place to stay. The house and farm are all yours. It’s completely private. The neighbours have no view on the site. You can let yourself in with a key from a key locker. Our housekeeper is living in the area and is available to assist you if necessary. We won't be around but we are available by mobile phone during your stay. Our farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills covered with sunflowers and other agricultural landscape near the village Monbahus (3 minutes by car). Monbahus has a "boulangerie" and a small supermarket. Within a circle of 20 minutes by car from Monbahus you'll find many beautiful medieval villages such as Monflanquin, Villereal, Castillones, Issigeac, Eymet. The weekly markets in these villages are nice to visit. In summer many of these villages organise "village diners organized by the local farmers" which are really worthwhile visiting with the family. Wine estates are also nearby including the famous wine estates of Monbazillac, Saint- Emilion, Bergerac (45 minutes drive). We have plenty of space to park your car. Outside or Inside the barn if you prefer. Swimming pool: children and safety By French law it is obligatory to close the pooldeck when there are unattended children around. You are responsible for the safety of your own children. So please do not leave children unattended on the terrace around the pool. Close the pooldeck when you are not there or not using it. Please don't forget to bring your own safety swimming gear for children. There are some spare inflatable swimming arm bracelets for children in the house in case you forgot to bring it yourself. It is advised to keep them on all day. A detailed house manual is available on Airbnb in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
