Casal das Fontainhas - is a family-run project with a magnificent architecture, in which we put together rustic and contemporary to welcome you in the house, with more and better comfort in your return to the origins and thus, to benefit from a well-deserved rest, in an invigorating stay in search for peace and tranquility. Casal das Fontainhas consists of a house with individual design dating from 1937, presenting a contrast between the traditional techniques of building the exterior and the sophisticated, contemporary and cozy decoration of its interior, as well as several ruins scattered throughout the property. The accommodation offers a kitchnette in self-catering equipped with all utensils and other equipment: fridge, microwave / grill and ceramic hob, as well as a living room, two bedrooms and bathroom. The house has an unequaled porch where you can dine, as well as enjoy the sun and read a good book, contemplating a magnificent green area where native flora and fauna reigns. It also has a barbecue where you can make your own healthy meals. Guests will have access to any space that is part of our property, there are no limiting areas. We welcome guests personally and let you know which tours are available in our area as well as we are available to support you in any matter you may have. We provide one week before arrival, the GPS indications. Check-in is from 18:00 hours. The Sandra house is located in the municipality of Alcobaça, Leiria, Portugal. Lagoa do Cão is a small, quiet and peacefull village, perfect place for a rejuvenating holiday. You will find the beauty of nature, traditional festivals and very cordial people. It has no commercial space, there is only a small cafe. If you like hiking, walks through the immaculate karstic valley, which is 800 m from the property, will allow you unique experiences, with everything you can enjoy in the greatest of tranquilities, ideal place for bird watching as well as collection of edible plants. In the singular Natural Park of the Serra de Aire and Candeeiros you can see badly chord, there are different rails, both on foot and mountain biking, glimpsing the natural or historical heritage in the vicinity (small woods and forests, observation of the fauna and flora of the region, caves, old mining railways, waterfalls). Casal das Fontainhas is 7 km from Alcobaça, 2 km from Serra de Aire Natural Park and Candeeiros, 21 km from Nazaré beach, and 106 km from Lisbon. It is the perfect place to have access to different types of tourism: Nature, Beach and Cultural. Access to the Internet is through Hot Spot, rechargeable by guest upon your need.
